While this is not the same Georgia Laurie, I think it may as well be. The bride sincerely doesn't know who she would be without this wonderful woman, who definitely deserves to be a very honoured maid.

Michael is the kind of person everyone hopes to become friends with. Honest, kind, and selfless to a fault. Rugged and adventurous, yet infinitely knowledgeable of the most obscure topics. I (the groom) have spent many an evening on his brown couch venting about life in our own private little therapy sessions. Unlike my office, Michael's comes with bonus of beer. I don't know where I would be today without Michael's constant support through my numerous career shifts, and the trials and tribulations of life. Truly he is deserving of the title, Best man.

If you were to search "Emma Burgess-Cottrell" on google, nothing particularly interesting would come up. However, what should is a description of a kind, empathetic, fiercely intelligent and funny sister-in-law who has somehow kept the bride's brother in check for a whopping 20 something years (we don't count anymore, frankly...).

The youngest male of both families, yet easily the most experienced and impressive of the lot. Mitchell is my favourite brother by far. When we were growing up, he was my best friend. We spent endless hours together playing Halo back and forth where I would insist on having the rocket launcher, as only an older brother could handle such awesome power, obviously. Mitchell is the kind of guy who can turn grass into gold, and sell a fish water. He never ceases to impress and amaze me with his ingenuity and ability to find success where others would surely fail.

If you were to search "Jessica Whitton" on Goog— no I'm just kidding, that joke's getting old— unlike Jess, who seems to have stopped aging at 24 while also somehow being a Toronto Lawyer. Jess (A.K.A "Kitty") is the bride's future sister-in-law, Jordan's younger Irish-twin sister, and also the mother of our handsomest little ring-bearer. She brings the Party to the bridal party and has made the bride feel so welcome in her family over the past 5 years.

When thinking of Cameron, I find myself coming back to two concepts, altruism and dedication. Cameron is one of the most devoted husbands I have ever met, and his endless patience and playfulness with his wife is a constant inspiration for my own relationship. Sometimes Cameron's dedication leads him to strange new lifestyle choices. Shortly after moving to a town where fishing was the local identity, Cameron decided it was a competition to see who was the most fisherman fisherman of them all. Throughout this last winter and spring, you could find Cameron trekking through the backwoods to obscure fishing spots, often coming home (several hours after he had intended to) empty handed, with the beginnings of frost bite. While I've only ever seen two fish, somehow I believe he's better at this than he lets on. In regard to altruism, Cameron is the man I would call (down the hall to) at a moment's notice to help me with one of my ADHD fueled, hairbrained, adventurous ideas. I (Jordan) think back to the time we rented a u-haul, went to the wrong location, and then when we got to the correct one an hour later, I realized I had forgotten my ID. We tried a few work arounds (they didn't work), but hey it worked out when we just made him liable for everything instead.

K is Jordan's youngest sister who's the best of all of us; compassionate, smart, funny, gorgeous, and good at mechanics and welding which none of the rest of us can boast. This bride always wanted a younger sister and for the past 5 years it feels like she's finally gotten one.

Ahh Sean. Sweet, sweet Sean. What can we say about Sean. The most artistic of the Cottrells by a landslide. A free spirit, and a good time who is always up for adventure, provided you drag him to it by the collar. The only time the groom has ever felt comfortable dancing was at a wedding with Sean where he was lighting the dance floor on fire. Quietly from the other side of the dance circle, like a drunken ape, I followed along to his dance moves, and was quite impressed with my performance as a result. Sean is the kind of guy who doesn't always open up, but when he does, you cherish every minute of it because those conversations are so deep and meaningful, even when they occur at midnight and are centering around an RTS game he believes you should play.
