Our Wedding

Alysha and I met during our sophomore year of high school. We were both part of our school’s show choir. We got paired up as dance partners for a song in that year’s set. My first thought when I got paired with Alysha was “Wow she is really short this’ll be tough! “ But I could just tell that she would become a close friend of mine. By the end of high school we were both in our own relationships, but we were still in the same friend group. We had numerous adventures and memories as a group, but something just didn’t feel quite right. Throughout the years, Alysha and I grew closer and closer together. She became my best friend. A few breakups later, Alysha became my go to friend. We would talk daily and hangout frequently when she was in town. We became inseparable and I started to fall in love with her. Then during one hangout with her something crazy happened… She kissed me!! Now I will admit I was shook, but only because I was planning on kissing her first! Of course, I had to tell some friends about this. So the next day I talked to my friend David and my friend Tyler. &nbsp;I told them how I felt about Alysha and what had happened. David asked me “Do you think she’s the one?” To which I told him “Yes! Absolutely! I couldn’t be more sure of it.” And Tyler told me “Finally I was wondering when you two would get together!!” We started going out on coffee dates, picnics, arcade dates, and more! 2 and a half years of adventures, dates, and memories later, I finally asked her to marry me in July of 2022! Now exactly 4 years after our first date we will be getting married this November, 25th of 2023!

Rodney's perspective 

Rodney and I first met our sophomore year of high school. (He swears we met earlier but I don’t believe that) Rodney was my first dance partner in show choir. I was really nervous because I had never danced with a guy before. We became good friends pretty quickly. I enjoyed dancing with him every day, even when he was late to his spot. We stayed in the same friend group all of high school. He was the guy friend I always went to for relationship advice. We were so close that I started calling him “Platonic” because people joked about us dating. I started to have feelings for Rodney our senior year but ignored it since he was dating someone.	After high school I went to Wayne State College. I was afraid Rodney and I would grow apart due to the distance. That was the opposite of what happened. We talked almost every day, both over text and phone calls. We talked to each other about our classes, breakups, dates, and college adventures. Rodney was always asking when I would be back in town and if I could hang out. My friend Marilly started asking if I had feelings for him since I would talk about him all the time. I always denied it.	When I came home for Thanksgiving break on November 25, 2019. I went to Costco with my mom that day. I told her that I liked Rodney, but I didn’t want to ruin our friendship. Later that night I hung out with Rodney….and yes, I did kiss him, but only because he was about to kiss me!!! We talked about everything, and we decided to jump right in and start dating. I called my friend Marilly on the way home that night and told her “I’m gonna marry him, I just needed to tell someone as proof.” After that the rest is history! Rodney has become my other half and we have shared so many amazing memories together. He proposed to me on July 14th, 2022, on a picnic. We will be getting married on our 4th anniversary on November 25, 2023.

Olivia has been Alysha's close friend for many years. Olivia is fun loving and confident. She is always there when you need her and will give you her honest opinion about anything. She is artistic and stylish. Olivia is a pet mom to two dogs and two cats. She is currently planning her own wedding to Ben Hobbs (one of the groomsmen).

Tyler has known he’d be Rodney’s Best man since they were wee freshmen in high school. Tyler is a Fun caring soul who is always there for you and is always ready to sit down and listen and talk through anything that comes up in life. Tyler loves all things tech and going into I.T. Tyler also loves video games and hanging out with people. Tyler has been through countless adventures with Rodney, and we’re excited for all the adventures to come with Tyler.   

Tyler Hosek 

Summer has been one of Alysha's close friends since a pinky promise in high school. She is energetic and passionate. Summer is loving and there to comfort you when you need it.  When she isn't listening to K-pop or playing a fun video game, she is loving on her two adorable cats.  

Summer Ingham 

David or “Dad”-vid as we all call him has earned himself his nickname for having the role as the Dad of the group. He’s always making sure everyone is staying out of trouble but still having fun, his jokes are also dad tier. David is a dad to 2 cute little cats and loves video games he also wants to go into game development. 

David Hanzl 

Jessica is Alysha's big sister. She has been a role model for Alysha all her life. Jess likes to be active and spend time with her family. She is a great nurse and an even better mother. Her hands are always full with her two energetic boys. 

Jessica Courter 

Dylan is Brother to the Bride, and a spiritual role model to us all. Dylan is funny, sporty, and faithful. He spent years as a Catholic Missionary doing wonderful work with college students bringing them closer to God and their faith. Dylan is a family man through and through who is just starting his own family with his lovely spouse Mandy. Dylan also is the plug if you need some essential oils, spiritual advice or plants! 

Dylan Reinhardt 

Sarah and Alysha met at Wayne State College. They were roommates for a year and have been inseparable since. Sarah is loving and gives great hugs. She is always ready for a late night rant session about any topic. Sarah is rocking it as a women in STEM and is a tech genius! 

Sarah Eriksen

Ben has the hair we all want, I mean just look at this dudes locks of hair! Ben is a charismatic man who is actually engaged to the Maid of Honor! Ben is the guy you can talk to about any topic, he somehow manages to know a little bit of everything making him a great source of news and information and a great person to sit down and have engaging conversations with. 

Ben Hobbs

Marilly was Alysha's first college friend. Alysha basically moved into her dorm room and has never left her alone since. She helped Alysha realized she liked Rodney. Marilly is always up for an adventure that will make for a good story. She is caring and looks out for others. 

Marilly Fischer 

Ryan is Brother to the Groom, and has been Apart of Rodney's life since Rodney was 7. Ryan is a little goofball who loves Pokémon, video games, coding and awkward dance moves. He’s also quite the ladies man leaving a trail of broken hearts, but only because he’s to busy catching them Pokémon to notice the girls fawning over him!

Gideon is a man of God and Pokémon, He always has all the latest deets on games, and be weary of home when you play against him in smash brothers he will reign victorious. Gideon is always surprising everyone with little gifts that bring smiles to all! 

Gideon Ray 

Dustin is a good time every time, he loves games and is the life of a party and always down to have a good time! He’s always got a joke or a line to crack you up and make you smile. He’s a loyal friend and is always ready to talk about life. 

Dustin Clough

Conner is a party animal and business man rolled into one. He’ll be wild on the weekend and make you have a good time even if you had a rough day. He is always around to have a blast with be it cruising on the streets or hanging downtown.

Conner Harley

Khang is the best kind of unhinged, he’s funny and wild, and he parties hard on the streets with his custom sports car. Khang is the friend who everyone wants to see when he comes into town, but you gotta look quick or you’ll miss him flying past in his BRZ!

Nephew of the bride. Wyatt is full of energy all the time. He is not shy and will probably dance with everyone and be the last one off the dance floor!

Nephew of the Bride. Isaac is shy but stubborn. He knows what he wants and he is not afraid to tell you! And with those big blue eyes, he can get what he wants!
