- Arrive early to secure a parking spot as parking is limited, especially on weekends and school holidays.
- There are a number of picnic tables that are great for BBQs or to enjoy takeout meals. Additional tables and chairs should be brought.
- While the water is normally very calm, be sure to observe any warning signs or speak with the lifeguard before entering the ocean.
- Food can be purchased on the way in Honolulu or Koko Marina in Hawaii Kai before heading to the Waimanalo Beach Park.
