Southwest Florida International Airport is the closest commercial airport to Naples. Most major airlines fly in/out of RSW. It is about 30 minutes from Naples.

The Naples Grand Beach Resort has constant shuttle service to and from their private beach. There is also other activities such as kayaking, tennis, and beach time - reserve your private cabana for the day; the hotel also has a spa for some relaxation and pampering. Book your services early! The hotel concierge should be helpful in booking activities at the hotel as well as throughout the area. Take your time to enjoy the people watching, take a break at one of the many restaurants to enjoy brunch, lunch and/or a refreshing cocktail — most places have both indoor and outdoor seating.

So much to do here also! Nestled among the courtyards, plazas, fountains and the abundant colorful landscapes and flowers, the eclectic shops of The Third Street South historic district are brimming with fashion, accessories, shoes, for women, children and men. There are also many excellent art galleries full of centuries of paintings, sculptures and ceramics and other works. You can browse shops of antiques, furniture and other works from around the world. Salons are there to pamper you as well. Third Street South has no shortage of fun, lively restaurants serving delicious food and beverages of all kinds. Jane’s on Third is a yummy brunch spot that if you can find time to go—highly recommend. All the restaurants are great!A real great perk here is The Third Street Concierge Kiosk—will help ou with choosing a place to eat or shop; will hold your packages while you wander. They make your experience there even better!

This is such an amazing place—two stories and over 38,000 square feet of interactive exhibits, classrooms and more all geared to foster playtime, creativity, curiosity, empathy and self-esteem. While they call it a ‘children’s’ museum, adults of all ages will love their time there too!I mean, who wouldn’t enjoy the treetop Adopt a Pet veterinary clinic where kiddos get a chance to learn to take care of their furry friends using their imagination and props!! Then there is the Art Studio, and exhibits like The Beach, The Banyan Tree, Art Playroom, The Everglades. The Farm etc.

This lush garden showcases the stunning tropical landscapes found in southwest Florida. It’s a beautiful setting full of activities and there is often live music along with food options

Check with the hotel’s concierge for the many options you have for fishing in the gorgeous Gulf of Mexico. There are many experienced captains to take you on both deep-sea and backwater adventures.

Originally built in 1888, the pier is rich in history. Visitors can fish from the pier, spot dolphins or simply relax while taking in the views. **There may be some restrictions to the pier right now due to the significant damage in 2022 from Hurricane Ian—but there is a portion of the pier accessible.

Other ideas

Naples has over 9 miles of coastline—with 40 beach access points. If you are not staying at Naples Grande Beach Resort you can still go to the beach via the public access points. Clam Pass and Lowdermilk are two of the most popular access points. And there are dozens more. Please check with hotel concierge to direct you to a location that suits your preferences. Also, some beaches that were damaged in the hurricanes are not open (only three at this time—meaning 37 are open).

BEACHES

Please be very careful to observe the parking rules in the areas where there is beach access. Most importantly, if there is a sign that says Beach Parking by Resident Only—DO NOT PARK THERE—you will be fined!! The fines range from $77-$252 per violation. The local police check these locations frequently and they don’t mess around!! There are plenty of visitor beach access points-many are metered. And in the summer the parking is not as challenging—just be aware of the no parking signs and avoid! Don’t let those rules dissuade you from enjoying Napls gorgeous beaches and sparkling Gulf waters!!
