Jake & I met in English 101 where I officially deemed him my “english crush.” This nickname spread far & wide eventually finding its way to him. It took a while, but the nickname got to a friend of his. Jake went through the entire class roster to see if he could figure out who it was. They narrowed it down to me, and Jake built up the courage to talk to me. We didn’t know then that we would be seeing a lot of each other in class over the next few years. Over every accounting class, group project, and study session we developed our relationship until eventually, we went to a date party together. It was the best date ever, so went together to another. And another. And then we finally went on our first real dinner date to Half-Shell Oyster House in spring of 2021. After many dinner dates, formal events, and date parties together we officially started dating November 20, 2021. We did almost everything together. After graduating undergrad, we continued our journey in Tuscaloosa together in the Masters of Accounting program, which amplified our time spent together. Academically and socially our lives had meshed together. He transferred his job offer to Nashville the fall of our masters year, and we started making plans for a future…together! After many life events: college graduations, CPA exams, a cross state move, and first adult jobs, we got to experience a lot of growth together. We love life together, so he asked my dad for his blessing over a round of golf, his favorite. Jake proposed on July 20, 2024. We’re so excited for our forever, and can’t wait for all the blessings, challenges, and growth this lifetime holds for us. Our wedding celebrating our marriage will be August 2, 2025, and we’re so excited to celebrate with all our family and friends!
