Are children allowed to come?
We kindly request no children at the wedding unless you are family members.
What is the dress code?
Formal Attire. Here's a helpful article: https://www.theknot.com/content/formal-wedding-attire
What colors should I avoid wearing?
Please avoid wearing red or white as solid colors (patterns are okay). The bride will be wearing red and white gowns.
Do you have a registry?
Since we have lived together for several years, we have collected everything we need! In lieu of a registry, we have chosen to follow the Vietnamese wedding tradition of li Xi, which represents good fortune. In Vietnamese culture, it is customary for guests to give monetary gifts in red envelopes. This tradition is a sign of wishing the married couple happiness, health, and prosperity.
If you would like to give a monetary gift, we have our newlywed fund under the tab "registry" and there will also have red envelopes at the wedding reception. Thank you so much for helping us uphold this tradition and being a part of our big day!
Will there be a ceremony?
Steve and Rose already had a private ceremony on a beach! No ceremony, just show up and have fun!
How do I RSVP? What is the RSVP deadline?
Click the "RSVP" tab and search your first and last name. Your RSVP should pop up with your allotted guests. The RSVP deadline is August 30th.
If you're having trouble finding your name, please reach out to Steve or Rose and we'll fix it!
Can I bring a guest?
Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited. If you received a plus one, they would appear under your name when you RSVP.
What food will be served?
Chinese wedding banquets include eight or nine dishes. The Mandarin word for eight, ba, sounds like the word for good luck, while the word for nine, jiu, sounds like the word for long. Serving eight or nine dishes is a way to invoke good luck and longevity for the newlyweds.
Most of the courses contain seafoods such as shrimp, lobster and fish and they're served family style at the table. If you're vegan or have any food allergies, we apologize in advance but we're unable to customize any dishes.
Will there be parking at the venue?
Yes, there is plenty of free parking in front of the venue!
What's the wedding timeline?
- Photo with bride and groom, Cocktail Hour, Dinner then Party!!
When should I arrive at the venue?
Please arrive by 6pm.
Dinner will be served approx. 7:15pm
Will there be alcohol?
Are you sure you know Steve and Rose? Maybe you're on the wrong wedding website...
