How We Met

Our story began last Christmas, thanks to a close family friend who insisted we were meant to meet. She was absolutely right. From the first few days of texting, everything felt natural—easy conversations, shared humor, and an instant connection. By the time our first date arrived, the spark was undeniable. The very next day, Sam asked me to be his girlfriend because he already knew he didn’t want to see anyone else.

Our Adventures Begin

A few months later, we took our first trip together to Presque Isle, Maine—also our first work trip. Sam was the first officer on our JetBlue flight and he made a special announcement to the passengers before takeoff. Hearing his voice fill the cabin, knowing the message was meant for me, was a moment I’ll never forget.

Throughout the spring and summer, we spent our weekends visiting family around Newfound Lake and Highland Lake, soaking in time with the people we love. During the week, we enjoyed special date nights together, creating little moments just for us. Each shared experience brought us closer and strengthened our relationship.

The Proposal

This past September, Sam planned the most meaningful surprise. He brought me to my favorite place on Newfound Lake—a spot filled with memories and calm and home—and there, surrounded by the peaceful water and early fall air, he asked me to marry him. It was perfect in every way: simple, heartfelt, and so us.

Building Our Life Together

Sam accomplished a huge personal goal when he purchased an investment home in Tybee Island, Georgia. We immediately fell in love with the quiet beaches and warm weather, taking multiple trips in the spring and fall to enjoy the island life at a slower pace.

Another special milestone came this fall when Sam moved into our condo in Londonderry. It was especially meaningful because we had just spent a month apart while he was in Orlando training on the new plane he’ll be flying this year. Reuniting and officially beginning our life under one roof made our home feel complete.

We spent a peaceful Thanksgiving weekend in Tybee—just the two of us—and it became the perfect backdrop for our engagement photos, capturing the love and life we’ve built so far.
