Our Wedding

In the summer of 2020, like many other brave souls in the midst of a global pandemic, we turned to Hinge in search of love—or at least someone who also liked The Office. We matched at the end of June, and Tom made the first move by asking me out to dinner (points for boldness).&nbsp; Over the next few weeks, we quickly became friends, with our relationship officially sealed on July 31st, 2020—right after we spent over two hours driving in circles downtown looking for the mythical $8 SpotHero that Rosie swore existed. (It did exist).&nbsp; From there, things escalated quickly. We bonded over our mutual love of The Office, South Park, Stavvy, and a healthy appreciation for adult beverages. Our date nights included everything from gym sessions and comedy clubs to shooting ranges and food/drink adventures. We even took some unforgettable trips together to Wisconsin Dells, Devil’s Lake, Las Vegas, and Cancun. Basically, if there was fun to be had (or alcohol to be consumed), we were there. Fast forward to February 14th, 2025. Valentine’s Day. Tom had made dinner reservations in Oakbrook, but before, he casually suggested we take a walk in downtown Naperville… during a full-on snowstorm. Suspicious? Absolutely. Romantic? Debatable. As he parked the car, he asked, “Where’s that bridge again?”—which is not the most confidence-inspiring phrase. But before we could find it, he took one look around and said, “Eh, this will work.”&nbsp;And right there, on the snowy riverwalk, with zero bridge in sight, he asked me to marry him. I said yes—because clearly, he’s a keeper. And now… here we are. Planning a wedding, still quoting The Office, still mocking each other daily, and still never finding good parking.

Kellie and Rosie also went to high school together! We became close friends when Kellie became a program assistant/service dog handler in Rosie's classroom at Giant Steps!
