ENGLISH: It is Rosie's first week in Taiwan, and she has found herself stranded on the beach with no idea how to get home. Oscar, who Rosie has just met, kindly offers to help her out. Rosie hops on the back of his scooter (her first scooter ride ever!) and he very gallantly helps her to call a taxi from the nearest 7-11. She is very impressed. But alas, they go their separate ways... ESPAÑOL: Es la primera semana de Rosie en Taiwán, y ella se encuentra ya tarde en la playa sin tener idea de cómo regresar a casa. ENGLISH: Two years later, they reconnect at their favorite local bar and hit it off. Soon they are exchanging messages daily, and eventually can't help but spend all their time together. ENGLISH: While the rest of the world is locked down due to COVID-19, Taiwan somehow manages to hold off the pandemic. Life, and dating, continue to move forward... ENGLISH: Oscar and Rosie move in together, in an apartment just a few minutes away from the beach where they first met. They start spending their mornings at that beach together; Oscar learning to surf, Rosie reading and watching the funny little sand crabs. Oscar buys a little blue van. They go everywhere in it. ESPAÑOL: Oscar y Rosie deciden mudarse juntos a un apartamento a solo unos minutos de la playa donde se conocieron por primera vez. Comienzan a pasar las mañanas juntos en esa playa; Oscar aprendiendo a surfear, Rosie leyendo y observando a los graciosos cangrejos de arena. Oscar compra una pequeña van azul. Viajan a todas partes en ella.

ENGLISH: With their new van and plenty of flannels, the two of them go on adventures around Taiwan (and try to start an herbal tea business, which they will ultimately get bored with... but that's okay). ESPAÑOL: Con su nueva van y un montón de camisas de franela, los dos se embarcan en aventuras alrededor de Taiwán (y tratan de iniciar un negocio de tisana, que eventualmente les aburrirá... pero todo bien).

ENGLISH: Having abandoned the tea business, they start working on selling their art instead (and actually do okay at it)! Their favorite market is right along their favorite beach. ENGLISH: Newly engaged, Rosie and Oscar head to chilly Colorado for a surprise visit with Rosie's family. Soon after, Oscar's parents come to visit them in Taiwan.
