TRAIN
Shrewsbury train station, Castle Foregate, Shrewsbury SY1 2DQ
Shrewsbury has a train station in the town centre. There are frequent direct lines from Birmingham and Manchester, which is convenient for connecting trains from elsewhere in the UK.
Those travelling from London can change in Birmingham.
PARKING
If you are staying in town, we'd suggest leaving your car in the hotel car park, or public car park near the hotel.
If you are driving to the wedding, there is no onsite parking at Shrewsbury Cathedral. We would advise parking in St Julian Friar's car park (SY1 1XL) which is only 5 mins walk away, or on Kingsland Bridge (SY1 1JR), a similar distance. The bridge has a 20p toll if you cross from town to the other side of the river.
The reception at Morrells Wood Farm (SY5 6RU) has plenty of free parking available. Drive up Kynnersley Lane, rather than School Lane, for a slightly smoother ride up to the farm. (All routes involve country lanes).
Shrewsbury has different options for accommodation including hotels, pubs with rooms available and Airbnbs.
Below are a range of options to give you a starting point for accommodation if you are travelling from out of town.
We would advise booking early! Weekends in summer can get busy (we won't be the only wedding in town), so book sooner rather than later to secure your accommodation.
