Oakland (OAK) is a slightly more convenient airport for avoiding rush hour traffic, but San Francisco (SFO) is great too. The local subway system, BART, is available at both locations. Uber and Lyft are also available; be sure to ask for directions or follow signs to "Ride Share/App Pick Ups."
Both Saturday's activities and the wedding venue are accessible by taxi or ridesharing apps.
You may wish to rent a car in order to enjoy the San Francisco Bay area. We highly recommend the car sharing app Turo (the prices are much better than conventional rental companies) but be careful to select a car that has a convenient pick-up location.
Parking at the ceremony/reception is limited. There are 30 spaces in the parking lot, but it is a public shared lot. Additional street parking is available. Leave adequate time for parking.
Option 1
We have a very limited block of rooms at The Moxy in downtown Oakland. Lots of delicious restaurants, and steps from beautiful Lake Merrit. Click here for a direct link to book within our wedding block - must book by March 30th, 2023.
Option 2
Airbnbs and VRBOs abound - consider checking the box "Entire place" in the search filters and renting an entire home for a group of 3-6 friends or family. You'll have spacious accommodations and more quality time with loved ones :-) Just make sure to read some reviews before booking. The best neighborhoods to stay in for the weekend are: Piedmont, Rockridge, Temescal, South Berkeley, Grand Lake / Lakeshore, Montclair, and Upper Diamond.
Option 3
Feeling extra splurgy? Check out Claremont Club & Spa in Berkeley. This hotel is an 8 minute drive to the venue.
