Interested in going out fishing on a charter? A few of our friends who drive charters have said they would take people out at a discounted rate of $140 per person(usually $300 per person)! Give us a call and we will coordinate this.
Our good family friends Alan & Shelly own Talon Air Service. A great option if you have the time and want to see beautiful Alaska. We've gone fishing with them, bear viewing, and hunting many times.
You've made it all the way to Alaska - you should go explore! We have multiple friends who have guided for True North Kayak Adventures over the years and it's a great way to get across the bay and explore on the water.
Getting across the bay from Homer is a must-do when you visit. Whether it's to visit a glacier, hike to the top of a ridge, or to get dropped off at a cabin or campsite - you really cannot go wrong. Our friend Brian drive's a water taxi all across Kachemak Bay - give him a call!
Want to get across the bay, eat amazing food, and check out local art galleries all at once? The Saltry Restaurant across the bay in Halibut Cove is a great way to do that. We recommend going over for lunch during the day - check out their website.
You can't come to Homer and not eat at Two Sisters, it's a Homer staple. They have amazing baked goods, lunches, and dinners that make the best uses of local ingredients.
You really could come to Homer to just eat and the Bagel Shop is another must. After living on the east coast it's hard to find true bagels - and you can find them here. Check them out.
Vida will be doing the food for our wedding so we obviously love it! Check it out while your in town.
