Our Wedding

A little about us 

Rachel and Ross first met as freshmen while attending the University of New England in 2011. Ross immediately felt an attraction to Rachel’s free spirited and fun loving personality, Rachel to Ross’ sense of humor and genuineness. They spent the first few years of college as friends; playing intramural sports, stealing cafeteria food, and watching Friends. As juniors they began spending more time together as Ross realized how strong his feelings were becoming. Rachel would attend Ross’ swim meets and was one of the few people who thought they were exciting. Ross would help Rachel design her RA projects and was amazed to find out she owned an Xbox, he began to see just how big a nerd she really was. Rachel was a bit oblivious to Ross’ hints towards dating at first and clearly a more blunt tactical approach was required. They finally began dating in 2015 after a weekend snow tubing with Rachel’s family.&nbsp;After graduating college in May of 2015 Rachel moved to Cambridge, MA and began her career as a dental hygienist working in Boston. Ross stayed in Maine living in Kennebunkport with his close friend Alec and began physician assistant school in May of 2016. This began 2 years of long distance relationship life. They would visit each other on the weekends, balancing school and work. Ross was able to spend one of his clinical rotations in 2018 living with Rachel in the city, however most of the time he was in Presque Isle. After graduating PA school in 2018 Rachel and Ross finally moved in together after finding an apartment in the Biddeford Pepperell Mill Complex (where they still reside). Their relationship continued to grow as they went on trips together to Sanibel Island, Scotland, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico. Both are very family oriented and spend much of their time visiting family members and their combined 7 siblings. After 7 ½ years as a couple, Ross and Rachel became engaged on October 22, 2022 at Fortunes Rocks Beach in (where else) Biddeford, ME. They plan to stay in the beautiful state of Maine where they can enjoy the coast and be close to their families and friends.
