Where to stay

Rooms are currently available (4/22) at The Grandstay and The Otter you must call to get our block, rooms will look not available online. We will have transportation from these hotels to the ceremony, reception and back at the end of the night. Rooms at Thumper might become available at the end of May, we will update it here. Thanks! 2. GrandStay Hotel & Suites Perham

call 218-308-9182 let them know you are booking for the soupir/Larson wedding. all 15 rooms are reversed for us. rates vary on size of room from: $100-$145 a night. We will have shuttle transportation from the hotel to the ceremony, reception and back. details on time will be provided upon check- in.

Ottertail has been part of the Soupir family story for a long time. When Chad and Shelly first met they started coming to the lake in 1990 when they were in college, and for more than 30 years it’s been a place filled with family memories, summer traditions, and lifelong friendships.

During COVID, Sam had the chance to spend extended time living here and quickly fell in love with the community and the slower pace of lake life. Days spent on the water, evenings listening to live music around town, and winters filled with snowmobiling and ice fishing made it easy to see why this place means so much to the entire family. Ottertail also holds another special memory—it’s where Ross first met Chad and Shelly.

Over time, what started as a place to visit began to feel like a second home. Last year we took an even bigger step and invested in the community by purchasing the Ottertail Laundromat.

This town, the lake, and the people here mean so much to us, and we couldn’t imagine celebrating our wedding anywhere else. We are so excited to share this special place with all of you. And while you're here, make sure to grab a photo with the Big Otter statue!
