Ross and Shekinah’s story is one of faith, friendship, and love that blossomed over time. They first met in middle school through the Urban Impact Foundation, sharing youth ministry and mutual friends. Though they stayed connected, they remained just friends as Shekinah went off to Waynesburg University in 2020. A year later, Ross joined her there, and she was glad to have a familiar face from Pittsburgh nearby.

On December 5, 2021, their long-standing friendship grew into a relationship. Fast forward to August 10, 2024—Ross’s birthday—Shekinah thought they were celebrating him at Mount Washington. To her surprise, Ross proposed, turning a birthday dinner into an engagement celebration.

Now, Ross and Shekinah are excited to grow together and serve Christ through their relationship, a testament to how love flourishes in God’s perfect timing.
