CHECK IN

from 4pm – 8pm.

Staff will be available to check you in until 8.00pm.

When you arrive at Fforest farm please park in the main car park at the entrance & give Fforest call on 01239 615209, then walk along the footpath in the left-hand corner to the lodge where the Fforest elves will greet you. They will arrange for your luggage to be picked up if staying in Onsen Domes, Bathhouse Domes, Treetop Dome, Kata Cabins, Bell Tents & Hill Shacs. If they let you know that you are staying in Ty fforest, Crog Lofts & Garden Shacs you will be able to drive close to your accommodation to unload once you have checked-in.


CHECK OUT

Check-out is by no later than 10am.

At the end of your stay please strip and put all your bedding and towels in the bags provided. This will help staff and be hugely appreciated. Please leave everything as you found it - clean and tidy with kitchen items washed and put away. Please place your bin bags in the large bins marked on the map.

Before you leave please leave your keys in the door (or on the kitchen table for a Bell Tent or Kata Cabin)


LUGGAGE

Be aware that they use a utility vehicle for the luggage pick up service and the terrain is rough. Please therefore do not place any delicate or fragile items in the vehicle. They do not accept responsibility for loss or damage relating to any items that they transport on your behalf.


LATE ARRIVALS

At least one person from each unit of accommodation needs to check in between 4pm - 8pm, if this is not the case then they reserve the right to apply a late check-in fee of £25 (unless self-check in has been pre-arranged with them at least a day in advance). Please phone Fforest lodge on 01239 800200 /01239 615209 if you are running late for arrival.

SHOWERS, TOILETS & SAUNA

Each unit of accommodation is allocated its own private shower & toilet facilities.

Bell Tents & Kata Cabins use the showers/WCs in the Cedar wood shower block. These are located in the same field as the Bell Tents & Kata Cabins, so a very short walk away.

Bathhouse Domes 1-4 use the new 'Bathhouse' bathrooms just a short walk away.

Treetop Dome 5 now has it's own rustic shower and toilet facilities on its decking area.

Garden Shacs use the showers/WCs in the raised garden area & these are in the building adjacent.

Camping pitches use the 'secret showers', located on the woodland path that leads to the Lodge.

Onsen Domes, Hill Shacs, Crog Lofts & Ty Fforest have their own showers & toilets within the accommodation.

Toiletries

Effluent is channeled to a reed bed filtration so we ask that you use eco-friendly toiletries. Fforest provide Faith In Nature shampoo, conditioner & shower gel in the showers.

Washing-up

Each of the accommodation's now has its own sink with cold running water for washing-up. They also provide the washing-up liquid, cloths & tea towels.

Sauna

On the day of your arrival you can book a sauna slot.

The wood is there so you can light the sauna yourself.

It is best to light it 20 minutes to warm up to temperature before you get in.

There are cold showers around the back!

Please leave clean and tidy for the next person coming in.


RECYCLING AND WASTE

There are various recycling points onsite so please make sure that you take you rubbish to these points during your stay and separate your recycling, glass, food waste and non-recyclables, and that all materials are clean before being placed in the bins.

All bins will be clearly labeled & colour coded.


COMMUNAL SPACES

The Lodge

The hub of the camp. This space will be available for you to use at certain times, with comfy seating and a log burning stove for you to dry out in front of. Play games, read a book. This is where the camp office is for arrival check ins, questions, information, breakfast, suppers and farewells.

There is an intermittent Wi-Fi signal so won’t guarantee internet connection, but you are welcome to have a go.

The Lodge Terrace

Whether you want to plan your day or simply chill out and reflect watching the sun go down, the lodge terrace is there for your convenience.

Bwthyn AKA Aidan's Hat Public House

Our very own pub serving great local beers, wines & fforest blend gin.

We will let you know the opening times when you're with us.

Fire-pits

Care must be taken at all times around the campfire. We like fires and wood smoke, but please remember you are responsible for your own safety and that of your children (and pets) and use the fire pit, campfire areas and stoves entirely at your own risk. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult around the fire pit. Please do not light fires or use barbecues other than in the designated areas. Children and pets to be kept a safe distance away please.

Bell Tents & Kata Cabins

You will be provided with a sleeping bag and towel, but do bring your own pillow from home for comfort.

Bathhouse & Treetop Domes

Bedding & towels are provided for the king size bed in the dome. For futon beds you will be provided with a sleeping bag and towel, but do bring your own pillow from home for comfort.

Ty Fforest, Onsen Domes, Garden Shacs, Hill Shacs & Crog Lofts

All bedding & towels are provided

Fridges & cool boxes

Bell Tents, Kata Cabins, Bathhouse Domes & Treetop Dome all have big cool boxes.

Fforest have a freezer with ice packs that you will need to regularly recycle - Fforest only have so many for everyone to share.

All other accommodation has an electric fridge.

Barbecues

Barbecues are available upon request. Please ask when you arrive if you'd like one.

-Warm clothes – including jumpers for nights around the camp fire

-Girls bring flats - we want you all on the dance floor for as long as possible, so bring some to change into!

-A torch for getting to & from accommodation a night

-If the forecast is looking rainy then wellies or shoes you don’t mind getting a bit muddy / waterproofs / and an umbrella

Ty Fforest

The farmhouse has a huge entrance space with a cloakroom/WC and plenty of room for shoes, boots & coats (please take off your shoes here!).

This leads to a spacious living area with a cosy wood-burning stove, smart television and lots of sofas and chairs to relax in. Just across the hallway is the fully-equipped kitchen & dining area with a massive table to gather around.

The staircase leads you upstairs to the five bedrooms:

Cariad Suite bedroom with king size bed, sofa, window seating & en-suite shower room.

Cae Bedroom with king size bed, sofa & en-suite shower room.

Coed Bedroom with double bed, sofa & shower room on the landing.

Cwtch Galley bedroom with 2 sets of built-in bunk beds, window seating & shower room on the landing

Calon Family bedroom with a king size bed & a set of built-in bunk beds, sofa & en-suite shower room.

**They don’t have cots, so please bring along your own if required

Linen & towels

All bedding & towels are provided.

There are also bathrobes in every room (except Cwtch bunk room). You will need to bring beach towels.

We provide shower gel & shampoo in the bathrooms. There are also hairdryers in each bedroom (except Cwtch bunk room)

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Once you are on site you agree to adhere by Fforest T&C's. Please therefore ensure that you familiarise yourself with these prior to arrival. Please be aware that we will be covering all on-site pre-authorisation fees, however if there is damage to anything please do let us know as we don't want to be left with any unexpected bills.

Onsen Dome, Bathhouse Dome, Treetop Dome, Bell Tent & Kata Cabin rental: The rent of each tent includes the following, in addition to the facilities listed in the Welcome Pack: Rental of tent, pitch, deck and furnishings, parking, use of and access to designated areas of campgrounds, use of water and other services, as available, VAT where applicable. It is the policy of Fforest that children and/or pets are not to be left unattended in the tents at any time.

Rental of Ty Fforest, Crog Lofts, Garden Shacs, Hill Shacs, Granary Lofts, Manorafon Coast Cabins & Ty Manorafon:

The rent of each accommodation listed above includes the following, in addition to the facilities listed in the Welcome Pack: Rental of accommodation and furnishings, parking, use of water, electricity, heating oil and bottled gas, as applicable. It is the policy of Cardigan Quays Ltd, Manorafon & Fforest that children are not to be left unattended in the accommodation at any time.

Tents & Temporary Structures

Only Fforest tents or temporary structures of any description are permitted anywhere at Fforest farm or Fforest coast unless you have pre-booked a camping pitch.

Power required for medical equipment

Guests requiring electrical power to enable the use of electric appliances needed for medical reasons must call Fforest bookings team on 01239 623633 to discuss their medical requirements.

Fforest Farm Check-in & Check-out

If you arrive too late to be able to complete the check in procedure with a member of staff Fforest cannot be held responsible for any loss, damage or injury that occurs between time of arrival and completion of the check in procedure. It is your responsibility to report to the duty manager at the lodge the next morning to complete the check in procedure and to be shown how to use the wood burning stove in your accommodation.

Loss of keys

If you lose your accommodation key Fforest will charge you a flat rate of £25 plus £8 for any additional keys lost. This covers the cost of getting the keys re-cut and also their time to get them done

Dietary requirements

Once you've made us aware, we will have informed Fforest if you are vegetarian, vegan or have any food allergies. They will do their best to cater for food allergies, but cannot guarantee that their kitchen will be completely allergen free. We will let you know if they cannot cater for your allergies or requirements.

Wood-Burning Stoves

Wood-burning stoves may only be used once whoever is designated to operate the stove has read the instruction sheet and has signed the confirmation of instruction and disclaimer form. Operating / lit wood-burning stoves are not to be left unattended at any time. For your own safety, only wood and kindling should be burned in the wood-burner. Do not burn any rubbish or any other form of fuel or firelighters in the wood-burner. A supply of wood is included for accommodation with wood-burning stoves. Additional supplies of wood and kindling may be available, during times when the site is serviced, for a reasonable charge.

Kitchen Garden

Fforest keep their kitchen garden stocked with vegetables, fruit, herbs and edible flowers during the growing season. This is for the use of the Fforest kitchen to enable them to make delicious Fforest suppers and cater for Fforest gather, glow and other events. You are welcome to admire their garden, but please do not help yourself to their produce.

Behaviour

In order to make everyone’s stay at Fforest enjoyable, all guests are requested to be considerate of others. Inappropriate or anti-social behaviour may lead to removal from Fforest / Manorafon / Granary lofts without a refund of the rental sum or any part of it.

Noise

Please respect your fellow guests’ privacy. Guests are not permitted to play amplified music at any time. After 10.00pm we request that all guests keep noise to a minimum in accommodation areas. At Fforest the area around the pub, the firepit and the lodge terrace can be used in the late evening until the bar closes.

Management of Risk

Guests must not attempt to use cooking equipment, barbecues, woodburners and/or the sauna if under the influence of alcohol or any other substance which may impair coordination or judgement.

Liability

A. Fforest can accept no liability for theft, loss or damage, of whatever nature, during or as a result of your stay.

B. The person who books assumes responsibility for any other guests within his/her party, their companions, their children, their pets and any others invited by you or them to the site. You and all members of your party are jointly and severally responsible for all loss, damage or injury which may arise, for Fforest camps Ltd or any third party, as a direct or an indirect consequence of your party’s stay.

C. If your accommodation or equipment is left in a poor condition resulting in additional cleaning, repair or replacement, you may be charged to cover the costs incurred.

Force Majeure

Where Fforest need to cancel or change your booking as a consequence of circumstances beyond their control, their liabilities are limited to offering alternative accommodation (including alternative dates, where available). They cannot pay any compensation or meet any expenses or costs you may incur as a result of any such cancellation or change. "Force majeure" means any circumstances beyond the reasonable control of Fforest including, without limitation, an act of God, fire, flood, natural or nuclear disaster, adverse weather conditions, war or threat of war or acts or threat of acts of terrorism.

Complaints

Should you find you have any complaint during your stay at Fforest / Manorafon / Granary lofts, please notify Fforest immediately and Fforest will do all they can to rectify the problem. Please refer the matter to the duty manager if you feel it necessary. Should you remain unsatisfied please notify Fforest in writing within 7 days of the end of your stay.

Disclaimer

It is your responsibility to ensure you and all members of your party are familiar with the terms and conditions. It is your responsibility to ensure you and all members of your party are covered by appropriate insurance. Camping can be dangerous. Although every care is taken in managing the various facilities, such as fire pits, wood burning stoves, camping gas stoves and ponds, Fforest cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage arising from any misadventure associated with any activity. Whilst part of the Fforest experience is being free to roam around the farm via its pathways, certain areas, specifically the farmyard, may represent hazards and may not be accessed without specific permission. Guests who enter such areas do so at their own risk. The optional adventure activities provided by Fforest partner companies are, to different degrees, potentially hazardous in nature and in subscribing to a given activity guests accept that they have satisfied themselves to and are accepting any risk involved. Those with parental responsibility must recognise the degree of risk when signing the consent form. When booking activities, Fforest is acting as an agent for Fforest’s partner companies including Heritage Canoes and others who provide the activity. Any bookings will be on the partner company’s terms and conditions and Fforest can accept no liability in relation to such activities. By completing a booking with Fforest you agree to observe guidance and recommendations and take full responsibility for your own safety. By completing a booking with Fforest you and all members of your party are deemed to have accepted the terms and conditions.
