Ruby and Joshua met at Brass Hall Music Bar in Marble Falls, TX on February 13th, 2023.

Ruby was invited out for a night of fun with coworkers and agreed to join for an hour or so and of course for a watermelon Margarita. Joshua noticed Ruby from across the bar with the group of coworkers and joined at the table. Not long after meeting they were both dared by friends to sing a karaoke song together.

Joshua chose “Need You Now” by Lady A. and stole the stage with his performance while Ruby remained at the table softly harmonizing.

After the song, Joshua opened with “What is one word to describe you?” “Complicated", Ruby said. "Not many people actually take the time to know the real me.”

Joshua calmly and confidently replied, “Consider this me taking the time to get to know you.”

The couple acquainted themselves for the next two hours before exchanging phone numbers. Afterwards Joshua offered to walk Ruby to her car before saying goodnight.
