Our Wedding

It was a warm summer evening, the sky outside painted in soft hues of dusk, when Ruchita’s phone buzzed. The screen flickered with an unfamiliar number — a (732) area code. Normally, she would have let it ring into silence, lost to the voicemail void. But something about that night felt different. On a whim, she picked up. “Hello?”, she said, her voice carrying the curiosity of chance encounters. “Hey, this is Anish”, came the reply — casual and simple. And just like that, the story began.

The Fateful Call

They spoke all day and night that month — conversations from favorite candies, childhood stories, visions of the future — their words became bridges connecting two hearts, miles apart but growing closer with each call. Ruchita was preparing for a new chapter, moving from Pennsylvania to Washington, DC. Somewhere in the middle of those late-night talks, they discovered a shared love for The Weeknd. And fate, as though it had been waiting for its cue, placed a concert right in front of them on July 30th, 2022. It was the night they met ...

The First Date

The months that followed were measured not in days, but in miles — 227 miles, to be exact. With Ruchita in DC and Anish in New Jersey, their love grew along highways and train tracks, in playlists made for road trips and texts sent from rest stops. Every other weekend, they made the journey, knowing that every mile brought them back to each other. And every goodbye was softened by the promise of another hello.

The Distance 

Distance can teach you what love is willing to endure — but eventually, love longs for closeness. So Ruchita packed her bags once again, this time heading not just toward a new city, but toward Anish — and a sweet puppy named Luka (just look at that cute puppy face). Together, they created little rituals — Thursday Night Date Nights became sacred, a time just for them, where the outside world faded away. In each shared meal, every laugh across the table, and quiet nights on the couch, they built a life that was perfectly theirs.

The Life 

Then came April 13, 2024, on a cliffside in Italy where the sea stretched endlessly and the sky felt infinite. The air carried the scent of salt and sun-warmed stone, and in that magical place, Anish asked the only question that could make time stand still. It wasn’t “Do you want more tiramisu?” (though they both knew the answer to that). It was the question — the one that turns love stories into forever stories. And with a heart full of joy and lots of happy tears, Ruchita said yes.

The Question 

Now, their story brings us here — to a celebration of love, laughter, and every moment that led to this day. With friends and family gathered, they begin the next chapter — not an ending, but a beautiful continuation of the dream they built together. They can’t wait to share this moment with all of you — the people who have been part of their journey in big and small ways. The story continues... and it’s only getting started.
