Our Wedding

Our paths crossed at Grande Prairie College, when Rui noticed Madi arriving into the dorms with her mom and grandma in her black dress with white shoes. Rui moved into the dorms a few days prior and Madi instantly grabbed his attention upon her arrival. The next day, Rui's dorm had a gathering where Madi was invited too where their first ever interaction happened, with Rui being very shy and not saying much. As the pre season went on, we talked throughout the whole month until we finally went on a date at the end of August 2017. After a morning practice, we both got ready and went to Tims for a coffee date. As mentioned before, Rui being very shy, could barely hold any eye contact with Madi. Yet, we sat there and talked for hours before walking back to our dorms. It turned out that we had crossed paths many times over the years at soccer tournaments but it took both of us to move to Grande Prairie, out of all places, to finally meet. It was fate bringing us both there at the same time and 9 years later, here we are getting married. After many trips over the years, flights, car rides, even bus rides, times where we didn't see each other for months, USA, Calgary to Fort st John, Portugal to Canada, we are blessed to celebrate the best day of our lives with all of you!!
