Rusty and Robin’s story began on October 9, 2021, when they matched on Facebook Dating. Rusty "liked" Robin’s profile, and she quickly responded, “Hey, I know you from high school!” Though they were three years apart and didn’t recall ever interacting back then, they still remembered each other.

Their first date was just a few days later, on October 12, 2021, at Karvela’s in Hogansville, GA. They hit it off right away, leading to a second date later that same week and a third soon after. That third date stood out the most for Robin—she had mentioned wanting to go to a Lights Festival one day, and Rusty surprised her with tickets to one in Talladega, Alabama.

After three years together—through plenty of ups and downs—Rusty decided it was time to take the next step. On January 16, 2025, he asked Robin to marry him. Anyone who knows Rusty well will understand why he chose that particular date, making the moment even more meaningful.

One of their favorite Bible verses is Philippians 1:3: “I thank my God for you every time I think of you.” Love, gratitude, and faith have been the foundation of their relationship, keeping them strong through every season of life.
