Our Love Story

Picture of Our Love Story

Our story begins in the spring of 2013. We met accidentally when Ryan was coming over to hang out with my brother. At the time, Ryan didnt even know that I existed. Our first interaction included Ryan saying, “You’re cute” and driving away and me yelling, “Thanks!” then walking inside to tell my mom that one of Dylans friends just told me Im cute and it was so weird. After that, Ryan would come over a lot to hang out with Dylan, but he was really hanging out with me.Then on June 3rd, 2013, I asked Ryan, “Why arent we dating?” Ryan said, “Well, I dont know. I wanted to take you on a nice date and then ask you.” I then said, “Well...ummm.” Ryan then asked, “Would you like to be my girlfriend?” and of course I said, “Yes!” along with, “Well, actually, let me think about it.”Throughout the next 5 years, we did a lot of growing individually and together and just tried to figure out how to be adults. Our love for each other only kept growing. Once I finished high school, we decided we wanted to live together, which, little did we know, would start our moving journey. We have moved a butt ton of times to so many different houses, so many I cant even tell you. I guess we didn’t like being in one place too long. One thing I do know is that we wanted to always be together, and each house we lived in has certain memories that we will never forget. However, the most precious and best thing happened to us in year 6 when we became parents to our first daughter, Charley. Transitioning into becoming parents was such a wild ride. I remember getting home from the hospital and we looked at each other and said, “This baby is ours?! They just let us leave the hospital with a baby! What do we do with her?” From then on, our love for each other grew so much stronger as we took on the role of being parents and watching one another be the best dad/mom ever, which led us to having our other 3 children, Macie, Miley, and Owen, basically back to back and we wouldn’t trade that for the world. In between Charley being born and me being pregnant with Macie, I was getting really impatient and I thought Ryan was never going to propose. I remember asking him over and over again if he was scared to commit to a life with me. Ryan would always say, “What do you mean? We have a kid together and one on the way, so either way we’re stuck dealing with each other forever.” I had no idea he had been planning the whole time to propose, and he already had the ring hidden. On November 6th, 2021, Ryan was coming home early from work and told me to bring Charley to the park; he would meet me there. I tried to get out of going to the park because I was exhausted and 7-8 months pregnant, but Ryan was so adamant about me going, so I sucked it up and went. I’m so glad I did. When we got there, Ryan grabbed Charley and I (puts his phone on a bench) at that moment I thought we were going to take a nice picture with the sunset, then all of a sudden, he got down on one knee. That was the most amazing feeling ever, and to make the proposal even better, there was no one at the park, which is very abnormal, and it almost felt like a movie.Fast forward to now, we have created so many memories together. We have 4 amazing kids that keep us so busy it’s crazy, a house that we can call our own, and a life that we truly love. A lot of the time it doesn’t feel like we have been together for 12 years because we can remember things so clearly about when we first got together, but then at the same time it feels like we have known each other for our whole lives. Ironically, when we get married, we will have been together for 13 years, which is the year we started dating, and I could not be more excited to finally be a part of the Anderson gang and FINALLY MARRY THE LOVE OF MY LIFE!
