We both grew up in the small town of Green River, knowing of each other’s families but having no idea about each other. Who would have thought it would take a trip to Las Vegas on New Year’s Eve to meet the love of your life—someone who lived just four blocks away?

At midnight on New Year’s Eve 2011, we shared our first kiss, and it was happily ever after… Just kidding! You all know that’s not how it went but it was the beginning of something special.

Life had plenty of twists and turns in store for us. We spent many years living in separate towns (12 out of the 14 years we have known each other to be exact), but we always found a way back together. In August 2022, things shifted when Adar accepted a job offer at Amazon in Seattle. Knowing the distance might be too much this time, she asked Ryan if he’d move with her. His answer? “I’ll give my two weeks’ notice tomorrow.”

While we’ve loved each other for years (even if we didn't always know it), it wasn’t until 2023, when we finally got to live together, that we truly took our relationship to the next level.

All in all, our journey has been anything but linear, but we wouldn’t change a thing.
