Ryan and Sara met at the Mississippi Valley Fair in Davenport, IA on July 31, 2019. Sara went with a group of her friends from college and Ryan went with hometown friends. The groups of friends met up and enjoyed singing and dancing to Brooks and Dunn. By the end of the fair week they had talked a lot, played fair games, and rode the ferris wheel. Ryan asked for Sara's number and they started messaging the following week. The rest was history...

Sara finished up her nursing degree at Mount Mercy University and Ryan moved to Marion to be closer. They both started working in Cedar Rapids- Sara at St. Luke's and Ryan at Martin Marietta Quarry. During this time they vacationed to Arizona, Florida, and North Carolina together. They also realized their new love of the game of golf and have spent countless hours at a variety of golf courses each summer.

In June of 2022, Ryan and Sara bought an acreage outside of Mount Vernon. They fixed up an old farmhouse to live in and have made so many memories at this place.

On August 22, 2022 they welcomed home their black lab puppy, Timber. He is the best addition to their family making every day memorable. Timber and Ryan have been on many waterfowl hunts together which is their favorite thing to do. Timber is also the biggest cuddle bug and "lap dog."

In the summer, Ryan and Sara love to be outside on the boat or enjoy being on the water. Sitting on their deck soaking up each others company in the Spring and Fall weather is also something they love to do in their free time. They both love to hang out with friends and family and play with Timber.
