Carly and Miu met in 2002 at Manhattan Beach Middle School Orchestra. Miu played the violin, Carly played the cello. They go on lots of random adventures together. They have been there for each others' happiest moments, as well as the most stressful of moments.

Colleen and Miu met in 2009 at University of California, San Diego Women's Club Volleyball team. They lived together for two years, and spent most of the four years together during college. They both love DCOMs, Friends, improv dancing, Four Weddings, and cooking/baking shows.

Erin and Miu met in 2020 over Easter dinner, 20 days after Miu met Ryan. She is Miu's sister-in-law to be, wife of Best Man Johnny, and mother of the Ring Bearers Xander and Sloane. Miu has always wanted a sister, and now she gets to have one!

Jeannette and Miu met in 2010 at University of California, San Diego Matthews Apartments. They both love food, snacks, boba, Disneyland, and chatting about everything and nothing. They love a good Instagram vs. Reality baking challenge, where Jeannette is generally the "Instagram" and Miu is generally the "Reality",

Lisa and Miu met in 2002 at Manhattan Beach Middle School Orchestra. Miu and Lisa both played the violin. They are birthday twins and both love DCOMs, pop culture, 3rd and 5th wheeling, and singing/dancing.

Shiori and Miu met in 1998 at Tamagawa Elementary School in Tokyo, Japan. They spent most days during and after school playing in the neighborhood. Miu recruited Shiori to the school's volleyball team so Shiori is one of Miu's first teammates. They haven't lived in the same country the last 24 years, but that never got in the way of their friendship.

I can't remember the first time Johnny (John D'Arcy Jr.) and I met, but I'm told it was June 23, 1988 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. Pretty much from that point forward, John has been my best man – from sports to video games, John taught me everything I know growing up, and sets a strong example for me to be a great husband and (eventually) father. Thirteen years ago I followed John to Southern California ultimately paving the way for Miu and I to meet and fall in love.

Bryce (Bryce Yang) and I are neighbors in Hermosa Beach, though we originally met in 2018 at 2K Studios in Novato, CA where he was briefing my team and I for an upcoming marketing campaign. In 2021 when I was in the market for a condo, I ran into Bryce lounging by the pool at Hermosa Surf Condominiums – we quickly bonded over our love of music, sports, marketing, and casually imbibing 3-10 drinks at various social functions.

Drags (Matthew Dragomier) and I met only days after he moved to South Bay in 2013, quickly bonding over the Hermosa Beach lifestyle and the resilience we've each grown as Cleveland Browns fans. One of our many commonalities is our love of the EA Sports NHL video game, where we've spent the better part of 5 years trying to best each other at any given time... as of this writing I'm still better.

My cousin Kev (Kevin Davidson) and I have known each other our whole lives, but we became best friends when I moved from Dayton to Cleveland for college. We went from being close to doing everything together – I even roomed with Kev after graduating college! Who knows, if I never moved to California, I may still be living with Kev, Allie, and Loretta in North Olmsted!

Tom (Tom Wagner) and I met in 2005 during our senior year at Northmont High School. We quickly bonded over our love of comedy movies and the fact that we were both relatively intelligent seniors taking a sophomore level math class due to laziness. As we got closer to graduating, we even stopped copying the homework we were given from another friend – how could we focus on homework when there was so much fun to be had outside of school? To this day, Tom, Justin (Justin Watkins, Officiant), and I are an unbreakable tripod of friendship. Some day we'll release our podcast that finally answers who is the GOAT, Jordan or LeBron? When my brother moved to California in 2007, Ziskin (Kristopher Ziskin) was one of the first people I met upon my initial visit. He was both welcoming and sarcastic, which are two of my favorite personality traits. When I moved to Hermosa in 2012, Z was hosting an Olympic themed birthday party. I showed up conservatively in a blue button down and when I arrived I was greeted by a party full of track suits, singlets, USA swim caps, tank tops, and basketball shorts – I immediately knew I was with the right people. From that point on, Ziskin has been one of my closest friends, primarily bonding over our love of themed parties.

Justin (Justin Watkins) and Ryan have been best friends since elementary school, originally meeting in 1995 during a game of pick-up football on Baldwin Hills Drive. We continued to spend our childhoods together, eventually becoming inseparable throughout high school. Justin originally became ordained to marry our friends Tom and Brittany, and we're honored to have him make our wedding official

Wais is one of Miu and Ryan's favorite artists. He is a Fijian one-man band specializing in reggae-style cover and original music. One of Miu and Ryan's earlier dates were dancing to his Facebook Live concerts during COVID. Miu and Ryan are excited to welcome him as the Featured Artist during the Ceremony, Cocktail, and Dinner.

Xander is Ryan's nephew. He loves Legos, running, football, and Jupiter. His favorite food is butter noodles and cheese pizza.

Sloane is Ryan's niece. She loves all things Disney princesses, just like her Auntie Miu. Her favorite food is muffins and her favorite princesses are Ariel and Elsa.

These are Miu's close college friends from UC San Diego. Despite their silly demeanor, most of them are doctors of something. They all love food and are extremely fond of each other..... in the most Bro-mance way.

Chris Petlak is Ryan's good friend and former co-worker. Chris is the host of The Morning Mix on 101.9 THE MIX Chicago on weekday mornings. Ryan and Miu are honored to share their wedding anniversary with Chris and his wife Amy, who are celebrating their 11th Wedding Anniversary on 6/21/25.
