Julia spent her childhood in Washington State before heading south to Texas to pursue her nursing degree at Texas Christian University. Ryan grew up in Michigan, which his family still calls home, and moved to Fort Worth to work at Lockheed Martin.

Julia and Ryan met at a game night hosted by their maid of honor, and they proceeded to attend the same church for some time. Three weeks later, the two of them went on their first date. They made their relationship official in fall of 2021. Two years of dating were filled with countless hikes, delicious meals cooked together, and cross-country visits to meet the families. Julia’s family moved from Seattle to Baltimore last summer. Julia and Ryan were taking a walk through the park one evening in October of 2023 when Ryan got down on one knee, and the rest is history.

After Julia graduates and she and Ryan get married this summer, the newlyweds will move to Philadelphia together. There, Julia will work as a nurse at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and Ryan will continue his work at Lockheed Martin.
