The picture that you see is April 5, 1982. That beautiful little girl at the table in the red dress is...you guessed it, April. And that handsome little boy in the blue overalls is...yep, me, Ryan. I call this the day "we met" and yes I covered my eyes, not because I was crying, I was hungry. Our story doesn't begin there. Our story as we were recently told by my Aunt Emma, really begins with our grandparents. April's maternal grandparents and my maternal grandparents were friends and quite naturally that meant that their the offspring became friends. Fast forward, our parents became friends and it just so happened that both April and I lived around the corner from each other in our childhood neighborhood, Worthdale. Since our parents were friends it was nothing for us to be at one another's house. When I would go around the corner to April's house, she would make me play "house" with her. She would pretend to cook and I would pretend to be coming home from work and when I would arrive, April would greet me with a "Hey honey!" then we would give each other a peck kiss on the lips. Ah yes, she is literally the first girl that I kissed! To spare you of all of the other parts of our Love Story, January 2001 is when we began dating. We fell in Love and on my birthday of August 2004, I wanted April to say "YES" for my birthday present. She said "yes" and on June 18, 2005, we became Husband and Wife! Now, here we are, 20yrs later and I'm still madly IN LOVE with My Mama Bear! If you all want to hear the entire story.....well, you'll just have to hear it another time! LOL....We are two kids from a place on the Southeast Side of Raleigh called, Worhtdale. And this is our Worthdale Love Story!!
