Well, you see.... She slid in the DM's and it was the beginning of something amazing. I (Ryan) ran a half marathon and posted about it a month prior as she began her own half marathon training for a race in August. Apparently, she didn't know her thought process when she DM'd me in July, but I'm not convinced. Throughout that summer, we texted and built a solid friendship talking about God's faithfulness in our lives. We both had never met someone so passionate about Jesus at work in our lives as followers of Him. We got back to school and PROMISED to our friends that we were JUST FRIENDS! That lasted a solid 2 weeks as we began hanging out and studying for our nursing exams. We really just loved hanging out with each other while going on hikes, talking for hours, and enjoying a good cup of coffee. October 21st rolled around in 2018 and that was when we started officially dating each other.

Yes indeed, I was the one who slid into his DM's... On some real, I (Leãnne) messaged him because I met him once at school and thought he would be able to give me some running advice after seeing his post... that's it!! Clearly, the Lord had something bigger planned than I could have imagined. I wanted to go into sophomore year of college with an open heart to whatever the Lord had store in for me. The more that Ryan and I began to spend time together, I quickly realized I enjoyed being with someone who loved the Lord so much that it would bleed into every conversation that we had. I admired his good looks, athletic ability (those intramural ultimate frisbee wins) and mentality in nursing school. After lots of prayer and quality time together as he pursued me, I knew he was one who I was praying for my whole life.

We both realize that it is only by God's grace, faithfulness and His perfect timing in the way He formed our relationship. We are so grateful for what the Lord has done and will do through us for His Kingdom!!
