On November 3, 2016, twenty-year-old Cabrina tried her hardest to look cute while eating a slice of pizza. The man sitting across from her was twenty-one-year-old Ryan, the cutie from her Spanish class. He’d had the audacity to (literally) bump into her as she dined alone in the cafeteria. Then, he asked, “How about you give me your number so I can add you on Snapchat?”, and poor Cabrina ain’t know how to act.

A week later, the two comm majors went on their first date. Ryan blew his entire Kirkland’s paycheck wining and dining Cabrina all over Hammond, America. He even suggested they make their relationship official that same night, but Cabrina needed more time to make sure he wasn’t an ax murderer. Thus, they continued to date unofficially for the rest of the fall semester before graduating to boyfriend and girlfriend status on January 15, 2017.

The couple spent the rest of their twenties together, supporting each other through life milestones, such as graduating from college and starting their careers. Through it all, there was never a doubt in Cabrina’s mind that she and Ryan would last until infinity and beyond. That was why on December 23, 2023, when her beau of seven years lowered to one knee, she cried so hard her Fenty Beauty foundation smeared.

Now that is true love.
