Parking & Shuttle Instructions

Coincidentally, the Annual Corona Del Mar (CDM) Christmas Walk and Santa Bar Crawl is on the same day as our wedding. Our church happens to be situated right by the bars and has very limited neighborhood street parking. We encourage guests local to Orange County to Uber for the evening. For those Ubering, you can Uber straight to the Community Congregational Church and the shuttle will bring you to Five Crowns after the ceremony. Anticipate traffic delays. Please arrive at 2:30PM! For those staying at VEA, the hotel Sprinter van shuttle will bring you to the church. Please go to the front of VEA by the valet at 2:00PM for 2:15PM shuttle departure. A shuttle will bring you back to VEA at 10:00PM. For those driving, we are asking all guests to park at the Five Crowns valeted private parking lot where you will be shuttled to the Community Congregational Church for our ceremony. Shuttle departs at 2:15PM SHARP from Five Crowns. After the ceremony, the shuttle will bring everyone back to Five Crowns for our reception. Parking at Five Crowns is complimentary for our wedding guests for the evening. **Note: Please account for traffic delays on Pacific Coast Highway as you head to Five Crowns and time at valet with possible influx of cars.** We appreciate your cooperation so we can ensure everyone gets to our ceremony on time!

Our Story

Kristen and Ryan first met during a surf trip to Mondos Beach in Ventura in 2020 that was arranged by their siblings. Kristen’s sister and Ryan’s brother, who had recently started dating, planned the getaway to enjoy the summer with some friends. When Kristen and Ryan were invited, neither anticipated they would meet their forever person that day. Kristen noticed Ryan's caring and thoughtful character as he helped new surfers in the group catch waves and jumped in to help Kristen clean the kitchen after a large group dinner (mom raised him right!). Ryan notoriously noticed Kristen's strong left arm as she tossed him a couple Coors Light from the balcony of the house as he was surfing in the ocean beneath. Their connection blossomed as they slowly got to know each other through COVID. It became clear to Kristen that snow sports were a "requirement of the relationship" so they quickly got to Mammoth so Kristen could learn to ski. Ryan, an avid snowboarder, decided to ditch the board and learn skiing as well. They now enjoy many trips to Mammoth in both winter and summer, sharing a love for the outdoors and quality time with friends. During a ski trip to Park City in January, Ryan pulled Kristen onto a private ski route at Deer Valley overlooking the beautiful valley and asked her to marry him. She said yes, and the spent the weekend in a winter wonderland with family celebrating their next stage of commitment to each other.

You can also call (877) 622-3056 if you'd prefer to speak to someone over the phone regarding the "Kerler Jackson Wedding". We have reserved rooms for Dec 6, 7, 8 evenings. Expiration for Room Block is November 6th!

- Should I rent a car?  -

John Wayne Airport (SNA) is very close to our wedding location and VEA Hotel. Ubering throughout the weekend is very doable but rental cars are also available at the airport. Keep in mind, our primary hotel, VEA, charges $50/night for car parking.

- Flights -

We highly recommend flying in and out of John Wayne Airport (SNA). It is the closest &amp; most convenient airport to the venue.

Where do I park / catch the shuttle?

Shuttle will depart from Five Crowns at 2:15PM sharp and bring you back to Five Crowns post-wedding ceremony. Complimentary valet parking will be provided at Five Crowns. Please account for Christmas parade traffic on PCH and valet parking delays on day of wedding. If you miss shuttle, CDM Community Congregational Church is 20 minute walk from Five Crowns. Ceremony beings promptly at 2:45PM.

Do you have a hotel room block? Where do you recommend I stay?

VEA Marriott is where the wedding party and the majority of guests will be staying. More information under the "Travel" tab.

What is the Wedding Day attire?

Holiday Formal attire. For men, we request suits. For women, midi to long dresses are requested. We recommend bringing a coat. Come feeling your best!

Can I bring my children?

We love your kids but thought you might like the day off. Adults only please!

What will the weather be like?

December in California can be a bit chilly. A coat is recommended for a few moments throughout the day where you will be outdoors.

Will the ceremony be indoors or outdoors?

Both ceremony and reception will be indoors but there will be a few moments during the day where you will be outdoors.

Where is Corona Del Mar?

In Orange County, Corona del Mar (Spanish for "Crown of the Sea") is&nbsp;a seaside neighborhood within the city of Newport Beach, California. (Not "Del Mar" in San Diego)
