Ryan and I first met our freshman year of high school in Spanish class. We sat right next to each other where he’d always ask for my help. He liked me because he thought I was cute. I liked him because he always made me laugh. Did you know he was voted class clown Junior year of high school? If you know him, that’s not surprising! We became close friends throughout high school.

Fast forward, after high school Ryan moved away to New York and I stayed in Colorado. Our paths did not cross again until 6 years later. Ryan posted his grandfather’s grave on social media, celebrating his life. I responded to give my condolences and from there we started talking again. We hadn’t spoken to each other once in those 6 years, but it felt like we were picking up right where we left off. He had matured but he never lost his humor or charm. The conversations were easy, intentional, and I found myself imagining a life with him.

He proposed at an overlook at the Garden of the Gods. A perfect moment with perfect scenery. The idea of spending forever with my best friend makes me feel so incredibly lucky.

We are immensely grateful for everyone’s love and support. We can’t wait to celebrate with you at our wedding!
