Our Story

How it all began...

This story begins with two acquaintances, who never saw eye to eye on Disney favorites, and how they fell in love for their own happily ever after!


Ryan and Wendy, in their senior year of College at Central Michigan University, were just friends. Enjoying tacos EVERY Tuesday, these two began enjoying each others company more and more.

Wendy somehow convinced Ryan to join her at St. Mary's Church in Mount Pleasant, MI for a dance! This was one of the first official "dates" that we went on.

The start of our beach tradition! Each Summer, we take a photo like this, but alternate who is holding who. The first year, Wendy was nervous Ryan would not be able to hold her, so she started the tradition with Ryan on her back!

College Graduation! We completed our degrees, and were heading back to the Saline/ Ann Arbor area to continue our story!

Trip to Miami, Florida -2019

Ryan, Wendy, and our best friend Garrett, took a trip to Miami, Florida! This was the second Summer of our beach photo tradition. We also had time to relax, and Wendy received her first job offer, while laying on the beach! What a trip to remember!

Wendy's first concert... which happened to be Faster Horses Country Festival! She had called into a radio station and won free tickets for the weekend, and with hot Summer weather and friends, we had a BLAST!

We went to our first Carrie Underwood Concert on Halloween at the Little Caesars Arena. Wendy loves to dress up for Halloween, so we went as Sully and Boo from Monsters Inc.

Summer 3, Myrtle Beach yearly photo! This trip was with the Lagerquist Family! Since COVID was still new, we stayed on the beach and went golfing for the majority of the trip!

Summer 4! Again, Myrtle Beach! This trip was with the Lagerquist Family! We were able to do a little more with this trip, since COVID was not as bad, and we were able to go to a baseball game, and plenty of golf!

And then, it happened!

On a beautiful December day, Ryan took Wendy on a hike on Lake Michigan in Muskegon Michigan. He challenged her to a race to the lake, after hiking up a few dunes. With no willingness to lose, she accepted and raced back, leaving our trusty friend Garrett at the top of the dune. When we got back, there were letters spelling WENDY, with a note in a bottle. The note read, "Wendy, will you marry me? - Ryan L". As she turned around to Ryan, he was on one knee with a ring in his hand!


And the rest my friends, is still being written!
