When Ryan & Priscilla met on Tinder in 2015, Ryan was new to the app and excited to dive in. Priscilla, on the other hand, was kinda over it. They matched after scrolling through some pics and liking each other's smile and energy. Priscilla also loved that Ryan listed hitting the snooze button as an interest (one of her favorite pastimes too). Priscilla's bio at first was a mystery to Ryan, until he realized it was a quote from Dumb & Dumber ("Big gulps, huh? Welp, see ya later."). A few Dumb & Dumber quotes later and Ryan asked what are the chances a guy like her and a girl like him could meet up for a drink? When Priscilla responded "like one out of a million," he knew he had a good chance! The only problem was he was leaving for Japan in a few days and Priscilla couldn't meet up before then. So they agreed to touch base after he got back. But as Priscilla (and many women) often did, she deleted the app. After reluctantly returning to it a month or so later, she realized she'd missed a message from Ryan! She sent a message back and they picked up right where they left off. Their first date was on December 2, 2015 at the Wellesbourne in Los Angeles. The date lasted 3 hours and was full of nonstop conversation, fun tangents, and lots of laughs. They immediately knew this was special. Especially when they hit teeth on their first kiss.

Priscilla and Ryan quickly began to spend much of their time together. They bonded over endless dad jokes, terrible puns, and their shared love of music and seeing live shows. When Ryan scheduled a massage followed by a nap into their first Valentine's Day plans, she knew he was perfect. When Priscilla kept beating Ryan in game after game (ping pong, bowling, arcade basketball), he knew she was a cheater...at least that's what he told himself. Their shared interests made this whole falling in love thing really easy, and made moving in together after 10 months a no-brainer. Living together has been a blast, except when Ryan forgets to close closet doors and Priscilla is indecisive about what she wants to eat (unless it's In N Out).

Ryan and Priscilla scheduled a trip to Colorado to see one of their favorite bands, HAIM, in their absolute favorite venue, Red Rocks. From the moment they booked tickets, Ryan knew this was where he wanted to propose, and Priscilla knew this would be the perfect place to be proposed to.

They arrived in Boulder, CO on Saturday, May 26th. After checking into their cute, plant-filled Airbnb, they went straight to the Flatirons for their first hike of the trip. Right when they arrived, Ryan took Priscilla down a little path to take a selfie with a pretty view of the Flatirons. After taking the picture, Priscilla started to walk back to the trailhead, but Ryan called her back. When she turned around, she saw him pull a ring box out of the fanny pack she bought him (don't laugh, fanny packs are PERFECT) and get down on one knee. Priscilla was SHOCKED, and as Ryan described, turned into a happy cartoon. She wasn't surprised that it was happening that weekend, but was very surprised that it was happening right away. She said, "Yes, of course!" They hugged, they kissed, and they forced the first strangers they saw to take pictures of them. They then went on the hike where Priscilla proceeded to take a million pictures of her hand in front of various beautiful backdrops. Afterwards, they called their families, showered, and got ready for a night of celebration. Their celebratory dinner lasted 3 hours and was full of nonstop conversation, fun tangents, and lots of laughs. Just like their first date, except with WAY more wine.
