Our Wedding

On Monday, October 7th, 2019, employees from the then recently purchased Falk Paper Company moved into the same building as Dalco Enterprises, Inc. While Ryan was able to move into the warehouse and begin the mammoth task of organizing all of the new inventory that needed to fit, his good friend and Falk's logistics coordinator Jaimee temporarily moved into the cubicle right next to Naomi, as there was not another desk available in the warehouse office area. Ryan came up from time to time every day to work with Jaimee on orders that needed to be routed, and so first saw Naomi. While immediately captivated, Ryan did not venture to speak to Naomi for a few weeks, thinking that she was already in a relationship with someone because of the desktop background she had on her computer (a photo of Naomi with three friends, two of them male). Jaimee, being Ryan's friend and excellent at detecting interest on his part, worked on finding out more intel about Naomi and sharing her discoveries with Ryan in the warehouse. One day, Jaimee found out that Naomi was actually single and quickly high-tailed it out to the warehouse to tell Ryan the great news. "You should ask her out!" Ryan was hesitant, thinking there was no way the beautiful Naomi would be interested in him. But he did begin slowly to talk to Naomi when she started chiming into conversations that she heard between Ryan and Jaimee in the cubicle behind her. After one conversation, when Ryan was walking away, Jaimee turned to Naomi and said, "I think someone likes you." Immediately, Naomi smiled and asked with great interest, "Is he single?" Jaimee quickly confirmed that Ryan was indeed single. Minutes later, Jaimee high-tailed it out to the warehouse, located Ryan, and gasped, "She asked if you were single! You have to ask her out now!" Ryan took a little time figuring out how best to do just that. Having noticed a poster pinned on the side of Naomi's desk advertising a choir concert, he asked her if she was in the choir. Luckily for Ryan, Naomi's passion for singing sent her on a happy rendition of all of her vocal groups. It was then that she revealed that she would be singing the solo in John Rutter's Pie Jesu with her church choir that very weekend. Ryan asked if Naomi would mind if he came to her church to hear her sing. And of course, Naomi was flattered and said yes. What followed after was a few weeks of dating (coffee date, bowling date, CYA the Musical), and not long after that, on November 27th, 2019, Ryan and Naomi made their relationship official. In March of 2020, the first I Love Yous were exchanged. Then, on June 21st, 2023, at 9:13 AM, Ryan proposed to Naomi on a pontoon out on Bay Lake in front of a handful of her family members. Soon they will be married, and it might not have happened at all if it weren't for Jaimee.
