Morgan and Ryan's story started out the day after Valentine's Day. Ryan wanted to wait until that day to finally start talking to Morgan because he did not want to intrude on her in case she had a date for that holiday. They started talking for about a month then made plans to go on a date in Vermillion. Ryan drove down and picked Morgan up at her apartment, then took her to the Chinese restaurant Silk Road. They talked, laughed, and got to know each other over the meal. After that, they started going on more dates then they met each other's family and finally made it official that they were dating. At the end of May, 2014, Ryan moved down to Vermillion to attend school.

During the last year of Morgan's school, Kim and Tina Lee (Morgan's parents) had a large celebration for their 25th Wedding Anniversary. It was that night that Ryan decided to pop the question and ask Morgan to marry him. He had planned everything out so that right after a song it was just Morgan and Ryan out on the dance floor surrounded by Morgan's family.

After the celebration, Morgan finished college. She and Ryan moved to Sioux Falls where Morgan works as an RN at Avera and Ryan continues to finish out college while working at First Bank and Trust. Together they have purchased and raised a dog, made a home, and planned this wedding.
