The reality we live in currently is that COVID is still very much with us, and we want to make this event as safe as possible for everyone involved. We are requiring that all guests have proof of vaccination and negative antigen or PCR testing within 72 hours prior to the wedding.If unvaccinated, please provide a negative PCR test within 72 hours and a negative antigen test 24 hours prior to the wedding. We completely understand if you do not feel comfortable attending our wedding due to concerns about COVID-19. Even when precautions are taken, there will always be some risk of transmission with any group event. We will not feel in any way hurt or offended if you need to RSVP 'no' due to concerns about your health.

Take a stroll around beautiful La Jolla Cove and get to know our friendly local seals and sea lions! Spring is a great time to come here since it's seal pup season and they are ADORABLE!

We love the San Diego Zoo! In fact, we love it so much that becoming zoo members was one of the first things we did after we moved. The wide variety of animals and plants here is truly incredible. If you are nature nerds like we are you will love it too!

Torrey Pines is a uniquely beatiful place and we love to come back here again and again. There are several miles of hiking trails but you don't need to walk far to see amazing views so don't stress if you don't have time or energy for a long trek. Park access costs $20 per vehicle but it's well worth it in our opinion.

Balboa Park is one of those big, sprawling places that you can explore again and again and not get bored of. Strolling around the gardens and interesting historic sites here is a great way to spend an afternoon. On weekends there are often food carts, artisans and live music here as well.

Liberty Public Market is one of our favorite places to eat. At this point we have tried most of the food vendors here and they are ALL amazing. Stone Brewery is next door as well, which is a bonus if you are like us and love a good craft brew.

Coronado Beach is a great place to hang out for a day. It's right next to the beautiful Hotel Del Coronado which you can explore after you're tired of the beach. Most importantly, there's a dog friendly portion of the beach, no leash required.

This is a gorgeous stretch of beach literally just steps away from Scripps Seaside Forum! It's a great place to surf, run, or hang out on the beach, There's a grassy park area here as well which is nice if you want to picnic or aren't a fan of sand.

La Jolla Shores

Something about this neughborhood is historic (don't ask us what). There are also plenty of restaurants and bars here, and it's generally a nice place to walk around. Fun fact - Kelsey worked the front desk of a youth hostel here for a few months after college.

Things to Do

Kevin is Ryan's older brother and best man. Kevin has been a guiding figure in Ryan's life since they were kids. Ryan has always looked to Kevin for advice, good or bad, and as a benchmark to work towards, always wanting to be better than big brother. The two have continued to grow closer into adulthood, living together for a year in San Diego, and then spending four years together in New York. There is nobody Ryan would rather have by his side on his wedding day.

Peter is one of Ryan's best friends from medical school. Ryan knew immediately upon meeting Peter that they would be friends and that continues to be true to this day. Peter is the most genuine, selfless, dependable, opinionated person that you could know.

Roommates throughout medical school, Quan and Ryan have been through the highest of highs and lowest of lows together. Quan was there as Ryan and Kelsey first started dating, he put up with Kelsey staying over for a week when it was below freezing and Kelsey refused to brave the outdoors, he saw the spark between the two as they competed on the sloshball field. Quan is a big reason Kelsey and Ryan are back in San Diego after all these years away.

Pat is one of Ryan's oldest friends. They met in middle school and the shenanigans went on through high school and college. Despite Ryan's time in Denver and New York, Pat continues to be a close friend to Ryan. Consistently inconsistent, Ryan knows that Pat will always have his back in good times and bad.

Patrick Nguyen

Andrew and Ryan first met in middle school but their friendship really grew once they got to high school. Along with Patrick Nguyen, these three have spent many hours loitering in the Del Taco parking lot, kicking a soccer ball around, and otherwise wasting time as kids do. Andrew and Ryan continue to waste time but now at breweries. Ryan will always look to Andrew as the voice of reason when all else fails.

Andrew Ogden

Meghan is Kelsey's amazing older sister, aka her lifelong style and culture icon. Kelsey has been following Meghan around since day one, and continues to do so - hopefully in a less annoying way. Meghan is a palliative care NP,  profoundly impacting lives on a daily basis. She is a mother of two precocious boys and two elderly chihuauas.  She is also a yoga fanatic and a talented musician.

Zach was Kelsey's medical school roommate for four years, and they have been close friends since the day they met. They have survived countless wild adventures together including riding a crowded bus on dirt roads across Tanzania, playing pool with monks in Myanmar, clubbing in Dubai, and cage diving with sharks in South Africa. Zach is a magnetic person who is endlessly fun to be with and impossible not to love. He is currently practicing emergency medicine in Denver, CO.  He is a talented skiier and is probably the funnest person on earth to dance with.

Michelle and Kelsey meet in medical school and have been close friends ever since they went on a medical volunteer trip to South Africa together. Michelle is one of the most interesting people you will ever meet - just ask her about her past life as a scuba instructor in Honduras, her Argentine roots, or her career goal of combining pediatric palliative care and cardiology! Michelle currently lives in LA, just a few hours away from Kelsey and Ryan. She officiated their mini wedding last year, and will be again officiating their vow renewal on March 26th!

Erin and Kelsey became fast friends after sitting together on the bus home from medical school orientation. They immediately bonded and have been close ever since, living together for two years and going on countless adventures together including nearly getting struck by lightning on a mountain and venturing on a 6-week trip through SouthEast Asia. Erin is the kind of person you can't help but love and admire. She is kind, generous, passionate and fun-loving. She is a specialist in medicine and pediatrics and is working hard to create a clinic for adults with special needs. She currently lives in Chicago with her husband and adorable newborn baby boy.

Katie and Kelsey have been friends since before either of them could form memories. They met in sunday school and have basically been friends ever since - through awkward braces, church camp crushes, screamo concerts, college heartbreaks, and on into their adult years. Katie is a sparkling gem of a person who manages to charm everyone she meets and create beauty everywhere she goes. She currently lives,  works (marketing), runs, surfs and creates in Ventura California. 

Katie Kelso

June and Kelsey have been great friends since their early medical school days. They became close skiing, hiking fourteeners, traveling across Asia, and road tripping across the country together.  June went to residency just a few hours away from Kelsey and Ryan so they were able to continue adventuring together on the East Coast. June is a truly inspirational person, bringing joy and laughter everywhere she goes.  She is an OB GYN and currently lives in New York City where she is finishing fellowship in family planning.

Annemarie and Kelsey have been friends for nearly their entire lives, and wouldn't have wanted it any other way! In childhood they bonded over mutual passions such as climbing trees, acting, playing soccer, and ugly dolls. As they grew older they stayed close, continuing to share adventures together. Annemarie is one of the funnest, kindest, and most hilarious people you will ever meet. She now lives a life of service to others with her husband and adorable baby girl in Turkey. She unfortunately is not able to physically join us for the wedding celebration but will be there in spirit!
