Ryan &amp; Lindsey met New Year's Eve 2017 going into 2018. Julianne (the maid of honor) made sure to have Ryan &amp; Lindsey both attend and essentially set them up. At first, Lindsey was not a huge fan, but as the festivities progressed, Ryan grew on her and they were each other's New Years kiss! They began dating within a week and by Valentine's Day it was official. Ryan met Lindsey's cat Luna and was given the go-ahead to date his mom. For the 4th of July that year, they went to Washington D.C. and explored the nation's capital on its birthday. It was the best firework show they've seen to date. In 2019, went to Canada and explored Banff National Park, with their good friend Becca, which is still one of their favorite trips to this day. They hiked to a mountaintop cafe, hiked to a glacier, and found the best Chinese food they've ever eaten. They can't wait to go back! It was during the holidays of that year that Lindsey's Pawpaw died. Ryan was there for her and her family for every step of the way and made their relationship much more than just dating. It was also during this year that they joined a pool league, which they still enjoy to this day. They have met many wonderful people and has helped them to value the other as a team. In 2020, Lindsey moved to Marietta and that is when COVID hit. During lockdown, Lindsey was still going into work every other day and they only got to see each other every few days. It was during this time that their relationship grew into something stronger than ever. They started to go camping more often and really grew their love for the outdoors. At the end of 2020, they also got their first cat together, Salem. She is now 100 % a daddy's girl. In 2021, Lindsey's roommate moved to Atlanta, and Ryan and Lindsey moved in together. It was also a this time that Lindsey's beloved cat Luna died. Ryan had grown to love Luna as a son also and their relationship grew even more in their grief and healing. It was shortly after this that they went backpacking on Cumberland Island with the best man Jay, this is one of the best trips they've taken and the best camping trip so far. In 2022, Ryan's pool playing took him to the championships in Las Vegas on a double's team with Jay. Lindsey accompanied them as a less than professional videographer, they got to see the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam and Freemont Street. It was also during this year that Lindsey's persistent begging to get another cat after Luna finally got the better of Ryan and they adopted their cat Moon. He is now a mama's boy. On October 16, Ryan asked Lindsey to go hiking at Vogel State Park, and to meet Julianne after to go apple picking. They were met by Ryan's sister and her husband and daughter, Sam &amp; TJ &amp; Atlas, before they arrived, Ryan was pacing and acting very strange.. During the hike, they stopped to take pictures, first of Sam &amp; TJ &amp; Atlas, and then Ryan &amp; Lindsey. It was during their photos that Ryan got down on one knee and asked Lindsey to be his wife. After several excruciating (for Ryan) moments of shock, Lindsey joyfully accepted! For 2023, Lindsey and Ryan have been anxiously awaiting and planning the wedding. They are so looking forward to seeing all of their friends and family for the big day!
