This is the street that we live off of and love to spend time on.
Food: Q39 (You can smell their BBQ from our house), Artego Pizza, Taj Palace indian, Ghengis Khan Mongolian bbq, La taqueria nueva traditional Mexican spot, Hi Dive food is also fantastic.
Drink: Hi-Dive (Our favorite dive bar in the world, home of the mystery beer machine pictured above)
This area has restaurants/goods from many different cultures surrounding the central farmers market area that is open on the weekends. There are some breweries and restaurants outside the central area to enjoy as well. Emily also works in this area.

Food: Pigwich, Brown & Loe, Taste of Brazil, Carollos Grocery & Deli, etc.
Where we had our first apartments in KC in the rowdy bar district.
Bars: Kelly's (oldest building in Kansas City and one of the best bars), Harpos, Westport Ale House
Food: Char Bar (BBQ), Atomic Cowboy (Denver Biscuit company has the best biscuit sandwiches and is worth the wait for a table), Green Room burgers and beer
Shopping & Restaurant area designed after sister city Seville, Spain. Just south of Midtown and the Westport/39th street area.
Food: Mainly chain restaurants but local places would be cafe trio or rye.
This is actually a separate city from KC but is just north of the river.
Breweries recommended in order would be Big Rip, Cinderblock, Callsign.
Other great places for a drink would be Chappells (bar with unlimited sports memorabilia to look at), Restless Spirits distilling company, MISC, the original Chicken and Pickle (Pickleball complex with drinks, yard games and.... chicken. Pictured above).
This is the beer KC is known for. Boulevard has expanded in recent years into more than just brewing and can accommodate all drinkers with seltzers and canned cocktails to enjoy.

Tour and recreation center has things to do on all 3 floors.
Floor 1 has the tour desk and a store that is hard to walk away empty handed.
Floor 2 has the beer hall with the main bar and a great test beer with all the beers they are testing to put into large scale production.
Floor 3 is the Rec Deck with shuffleboard, foosball and a unique bar with beers, and frozen cocktails.
Fun activity for families with kids or adults who love interactive basketball games. This is in downtown connected to the arena across from the power and light bar district.
This is a free art museum with a sculpture park outside using the famous shuttlecocks. This was a location for engagement photos seen on this website.
This is the best museum in town and the national museum for world war 1. After visiting the museum take the elevator up liberty memorial for the best view of the city and skyline. The 2023 NFL draft was held on the lawn looking over the city and union station.
Reopened to the public in 1999. Now 20 years later, Science City has earned the distinction of Kansas City’s “Favorite Attraction” and “Favorite Family-Friendly Attraction”, while Union Station as a whole is recognized as KC’s “Favorite Historic Attraction” and “Best of KC”. Other attractions includethe Arvin Gottlieb Planetarium, the Regnier Extreme Screen Theatre and the popular Model Railroad Experience. It also regularly hosts world-class traveling exhibitions. The national negro league baseball museum in the 18th and vine district which is on the same street as the jazz museum and a new brewery.
This would require a car rather than ubering, but is great for history buffs to visit in Independence along with visiting the Truman home where he lived post presidency.
