Hi friends and family! Ryan and I have two big announcements we'd love to share with you all.... First, we are moving to Spokane, WA! Second, we are getting MARRIED! Ryan has had some career changes. No longer in school, Ryan and I were faced with endless possibilities for our future. As most of you know, Shannon and Connor just announced their move to the Spokane, WA/Post Falls, ID area. Ryan lived in Washington State when he was stationed in the Navy, and fell in love with the mountains and the pine trees. We have always wanted to move out west, and saw this as a perfect opportunity to do so. And of course, we wanted to get married before we move, so... Ryan and I have decided to elope in the mountains of Gatlinburg. We will be getting married December 10th, the weekend before our move. Our plan for our wedding is to elope this year, and next year we will have a large wedding reception in California to celebrate with friends and family. Stay tuned for more updates on the reception in the future! We can't wait to celebrate with everyone! Ryan and I will be living with Shannon and Connor and the two babies for the first year of us living in Washington. This will help everyone out financially, as well as give us the opportunity to save some money to eventually have our own home. We are very excited for the opportunities that lay ahead of us, and we cannot wait to start our new adventure!

Our Wedding

Ryan and I met in a unique way. When I moved back to Nashville in August 2017, I got a job working at Petco. After working there for a short amount of time, I realized the job was not for me. While finishing out my two week's notice, I was working the register when a handsome bearded man walked in with a cute black lab. The man checked out at my register, and I got to speak with him and meet his dog, who I learned was named Hank. The two left an impression on me, and from that point on I would think of the handsome bearded man sometimes, wishing I could run into him again. That wish came true that October. I was dog sitting for a friend of mine. I had taken the dog to the nice dog park down the road for some play time. I had been there for a while and was getting ready to leave, when suddenly the handsome bearded man with the black lab named Hank walked into the dog park. I recognized him immediately as the "Petco Guy." I couldn't believe it! I decided to be brave and make a few extra laps around the park in hopes of "bumping into him." my plan worked; Hank ran up to me. While I pet him, Petco Guy walked up. I told him I remembered them from Petco, he agreed and remembered as well. We exchanged pleasantries, and then parted ways. I was excited I had bumped into Petco Guy and hoped it wouldn't be the last time. It wasn't. Fast forward to December. I decided to give online dating a last ditch effort because meeting people is hard. I downloaded the Bumble app and was swiping through profiles when suddenly, Petco Guy's profile popped up. NO WAY. I could not believe it. I swiped right on his profile hoping there would be a match-and there WAS. This is when I finally learned Petco Guy's name-Ryan! I messaged Ryan and told him that we had run into each other before. He remembered me as well! Eek! We struck up a conversation and the rest, as they say, is history.We started dating officially February 1st, 2018, and were engaged this year on June 10th, 2021. We cannot wait to be married and start the rest of our lives together!

After dinner, we would like to invite everyone to the cabin we have rented for post dinner drinks and s'mores! We will have a fireplace in the cabin perfect for roasting some marshmallows, Ryan has bourbon and scotch perfect for sharing, and our cabin has a hot tub on the screened in back patio perfect for relaxing in! Please continue celebrating with us after dinner at our cabin!

Post Wedding Celebration Information

The dress code for the ceremony will be wedding casual/Sunday best. Because we are getting married in the mountains in December, there is a good chance it will be quite cold the day of our wedding! According to Google, the average daily temperature in Gatlinburg in December is 48-54 degrees. Be sure to dress warm! Below is a picture we found helpful since we didn't know much about wedding attire. Our biggest desire is that everyone dresses warmly and comfortably.
