The nearest airport will be Louis Armstrong Airport in New Orleans. You will need to rent a car as the wedding is about 1.5 hours from here. You can also fly into Baton Rouge airport. It's about the same distance from either airport to the wedding venue.

Yes. The venue is in a tiny little town called Springfield, and there are no hotels nearby (see travel page) besides the villas at Carter Plantation. New Orleans and Baton Rouge are about 1.5 hours away.

Casual. We want everyone to be comfortable! Wear light clothing as it will more than likely be hot and humid. And bring mosquito repellent!!

Anyone that has ever been to south Louisiana knows bring light clothing as it is HOT and HUMID! Shorts, light shirts, and maybe one long sleeve shirt because in some places the AC is blasting and it is freezing! More than likely you won't need a jacket, no more than 1 pair of long pants, and not much more than flip flops and a pair of sneakers. Just dress like you are walking into a sauna, because most days it can feel that way. :)

The ceremony is outside, weather permitting. The reception will be inside.

There will be a cash bar available for drinks for purchase. Non alcoholic drinks will be complimentary.

We have hired a photographer so that everyone can be present during the wedding, and not having to worry about taking their own photos. Please, phones and cameras away during the ceremony.
