Ryan and I actually went to high school together, but somehow we went four years without saying more than a polite “hi.” Fast forward a few years, and we both ended up at a friend’s party. Somewhere between the music, laughter, and a very generous handful of Cool Ranch Doritos from Ryan (which we still joke is why I liked him), we finally started talking.

After that night, we kept texting and really getting to know each other. Then, just a week later at another hangout, Ryan asked me to be his plus-one to his brother’s wedding. Very ambitious of him, right? I mean—meeting the entire family all at once? Bold move. I was so nervous, but the night ended up being amazing. We danced, we laughed, and by the end it felt like we’d been together forever.

From then on, we were pretty much inseparable—and now, here we are, planning a wedding of our own. Who knew a bag of Cool Ranch Doritos could turn into a lifetime supply of love… and maybe a few snacks at our own reception, just to honor tradition
