In August of 2022, after seeing Ryan on a Snapchat story, Jake messaged her on Facebook with the simple question, "what do I need to do to get your number?" Thinking she was being funny, Ryan replied with, "send me a video of you singing Whitney Houston's 'I Wanna Dance With Somebody.'" Not 3 minutes later, a video popped up on Facebook messenger of Jake proudly belting out the song in the middle of a bar. It was then that Ryan decided that he seemed like fun, and he peaked her interest.

Not long after, in December of 2022, Jake made it official by asking Ryan to be his girlfriend. Since then, they were inseparable. They traveled to Dallas or Houston every weekend to be with each other, made travel plans together, met direct and extended family, and tried never to spend more than one weekend without the other.

Then, in March of 2024 Jake popped the question! Ryan said yes, and now they are ecstatic that they get to celebrate their love with all of you!
