Rylie's Sophomore Year of High School, her dad told her that she would "fall in love and marry a smart, nerdy guy with glasses."

Cameron's Freshman Year of College, he had a dream where he was meeting someone's parents for the first time, and both were wearing pink shirts, and Cameron was surrounded by elephants.

This might not seem important now... but just wait...

Cameron and Rylie met in July of 2022 when a "work wife" and a college friend took him out for birthday drinks. During this time, Rylie's work wife, Cassie, talked with Cameron about what he was looking for in a girl. After talking for a little while, Cassie immediately knew Cameron and Rylie HAD to meet! Cassie took a photo of Cameron and sent it to Rylie, asking "Yes or No." Not knowing anything about Cameron at this time, Rylie took a leap and said yes. Phone numbers were exchanged and the two began talking constantly.

Little did they know, Cameron was moving to Longview in a few days, only minutes from where Rylie lived. After only two days of seeing each other, Cameron came to Rylie's house to help with redecorating her bedroom. At this time, both of her parents were home, and the dreaded "meet the parents" visit was there. When Cameron entered the house, both of Rylie's parents were wearing matching pink shirts, while being in Rylie's room, where elephants were the main theme. (Told you it was important...)

The two spent every day together for 3 months before Cameron had to move back to Louisiana to complete college. What once was a daily routine, turned into weeks apart. Through this, the couple flourished despite the difficulties of being long distance. Even though being separated from each other was very difficult, it only made their love grow stronger.

Throughout the time apart, both focused on school and work, making time for each other every afternoon with texts, phone calls, and nightly FaceTime rituals. Over the next year, Cameron graduated college with an Engineering Degree, and Rylie was flourishing as a Critical Care Nurse. After completing school, Cameron raced back to Longview to be closer to Rylie and her daughter Tinley. Cameron even turned down engineering jobs so he could stay with his soon to be family.

The couple again spent every day together, growing closer, making memories, and falling deeper in love. Over this course of time, and unbreakable bond was formed between Cameron, Rylie, and Tinley.

Fast forward to June 13th, 2024, Rylie's birthday... after years of talking about the future, Cameron FINALLY popped the question with the help of Tinley. Cameron leaned down to Tinley and asked her if it was okay to marry her mommy. With this, Rylie was absolutely shocked! Obviously, she said yes, or we wouldn't be here today. The couple continues to grow in love and friendship on a daily basis!

We cannot wait for our future together and we are so grateful to share our story and this upcoming special moment with all of you! November 8th, 2025 will be a day we will all remember, and we hope you can join us!
