Our Wedding

Our story began in March of 2022, all because we both swiped right on Tinder. At the time, Gavin was living in St. Cloud, and Rylie was in St. Louis Park. Gavin happened to be working in the Blaine area, and thanks to Tinder’s 45-mile radius, we appeared on each other’s match list! Our first time meeting each other came down to a battle of iPhone message mini golf. Rylie was ahead by 4 strokes when the final round came to be. Rylie struck a deal- whoever loses must make the hour and 15-minute drive to meet the other. Gavin gracefully accepted the challenge, knowing the odds were not in his favor... and she choked with the final score going in his favor. We were instant best friends, sharing a similar sense of humor and comfort in each other. We both knew immediately that we had met someone special. After a month of seeing each other, we decided to make it official on April 8th, 2022. During our couple of years together, we have gone through so much. We met when Rylie was in eating disorder treatment, and he never left her side. Gav was constantly listening, learning, and loving her while she went through that. We survived the distance between the cities, St. Cloud and Hutchinson. Gav found a new job in the Twin Cities, and we moved in together shortly after. He is with a great company that he loves and is still with. After a year of dating, Rylie got to walk across the stage and get her Bachelor's Degree, and found a career path that aligns with her passion. At the end of 2023, we got our princess kitty, Quinn. We adopted her when she was 8 months old and truly made us our own family! We have been living in Plymouth, MN, for a couple of years. We have enjoyed adventuring out in this new area and love it. We love a good karaoke or bingo night with our friends, trying new places to eat, building with Lego, and engaging in various activities, as well as just spending quality time at home together. On May 25th, 2025, Gavin decided to change our lives forever. He got down on one knee and asked Rylie to marry him at a Japanese garden in Bloomington, MN. He was able to surprise Rylie (and everyone else in the garden), and she quickly said yes. We sat in our newly engaged bliss for a couple of hours in the garden and started sharing our excitement with our closest family and friends! We have truly found our life partners and know we will never be alone. We are so excited to share our love and special day with you all!

Erin is Rylie's older sister and built-in best friend. They have grown up together, from childhood memories to late-night talks; she’s been there for every laugh, every tear, and every milestone. She has been a constant source of love, support, and laughter throughout my life. Erin really is her number one fan. Ry cannot imagine her day without Erin right next to her.

Mitchell and Gavin have been friends since kindergarten. They sat next to each other in choir for years, love to disc golf, and caused terror at the county fair in their younger years.  Gavin wouldn't trade his friendship with Mitchell for anything. From playground adventures to life’s biggest milestones, he’s always been there. He’s more than a friend; he’s like a brother, and Gav couldn’t imagine this day without him by my side.

These two were forced friends, as they like to say. Their parents were friends in college and ended up growing up together. They have been separated by going to different high schools, then attending college and graduate school, yet they have remained constants in each other's lives. Lynsey is so special to Rylie and can't wait to have Lyns w her on her wedding day!

Gav and Ethan met at college bingo! They were instant friends and spent a lot of their free time together. They created many memories in college and have remained good friends ever since. Ethan has been a very loyal friend even with the distance since college.

Aubree and Ry met playing softball together at 16. They have been big supporters of each other. Aubree is a loving, fun, and consistent friend to Ry. The two of them have leaned on each other for years. They have created many memories, playing and coaching together, as well as enjoying many other fun activities in their adult lives.

Gav and Nolan met through bridesmaid Aubree. These two share similar personalities and sense of humor. Their time together is spent telling jokes, laughing, and sharing some cold ones. They are great influences on each other, especially when it comes to squeezing in one more joke or drink. Gav is so excited to share his day with Nolan!

Nolan Rowe

Chloe and Ry met in college; they both shared a major and graduated together. They were consistently partners for group projects but became good friends after college. They spend a lot of their weekends together playing games, watching movies, making dinners and going out. Chloe has been a great friend to Ry and is so excited for their friendship in the future.

Carsen is a great new friend. They met through bridesmaid Chloe. Carsen has been a great friend who constantly shows up for Gav. They have made many fun memories together like going to Banana Ball, playing games, and going out. Gav is so happy to have Carsen there on his wedding day and excited for their continued friendship!

Carsen Johnson

Rach and Ry met playing club softball together at 15! They were never on the same team, but spent a lot of time training and hanging out together. These two have been separated by distance throughout their entire friendship, but have continued to be great friends and supporters of each other!

Tanner and Gav met in college at a party and never looked back. These two have been great friends since. They made a lot of memories going to college parties, helping with chores on the farm, weekend getaways, and being a part of big life events for each other!

Claire and Ry met through Chloe. They were instant friends with a similar goofy personality. They have spent a lot of weekends together, whether it's going up north, staying in, playing games, or going out together. Ry is so happy to have met Claire and is excited for their friendship to continue to grow.

Devin and Gav met through Tanner, during college. The two of them would get extremely competitive in beer darts, always targeting one another and hitting eachother feet. They have continued their friendship into adult life by spending weekends together and supporting each other during big life events.

Grammy & Auntie Toni have been such a crucial part of Rylies life. They have always supported and loved her unconditionally. Ry knew she needed them to be incorporated into her wedding day, & what better way to have them spread love (& petals) before she walks down the aisle. These two have been incredibly influential and helped shape who Ry is today. Some of their favorite memories include watching Mama Mia, going on trips, being supported in all aspects of life, & just spending time together!

John has been like a second dad to Ry her entire life. John has always been there when she needed him, and that has continued onto Gav. John is an amazing, passionate, and kind person. Both Ry & Gav knew he would be the perfect person to have the honor of marrying them. His mix of goofy and genuine personality is exactly what they were looking for to start their marriage off on the right foot. John shows the two of them so much love and support & knows this will only continue in their marriage. These three will have a special bond forever!
