Connor and I met on October 17th, 2019, after he had sent me a facebook message asking if we knew each other, knowing that we had never met. We had a pretty good conversation over messenger, teasing each other and cracking jokes immediately. We had our first date at the Griffin in Battle Creek. Connor kept expressing to me how nervous he was before he got there and that he had gone to his friends house right before and chugged a beer in hopes that it would settle his nerves. I asked him why he was so nervous and his response was "LOOK AT YOU!" From day one he was filled with compliments and was just the sweetest person I had ever met. We texted every single day for a year just chatting about anything and everything. I wasn't quite ready for a relationship with him because I knew that If I was to be with him, he would be the man I would marry and i don't think I was quite ready for that. As everyone would say It took me a while to get my head out of my butt lol. Fast forward a year from the day we met, my Maid of Honor Bri, posted on her facebook that she wanted to do a stranger shoot which consisted of two strangers meeting for the first time to do a photoshoot. I thought "Why not?" So I reached out to her and scheduled my shoot! The day of the shoot, Connor and I were talking per usual, but nothing crazy came up in conversation. I get to the place to do the shoot, and met the stranger and proceeded with our photos. The stranger and I were chatting after waiting for Bri to prepare the next stranger shoot and I look and See Connor walking towards me. He yells "Sabrina Baker!" Without any hesitation, I ran to him and gave him a BIG hug, which made the guy that I did my stranger shoot mildly uncomfortable and he even said something about "fate." In that moment I was convinced that God just kept throwing Connor in front of me and saying "ITS HIM, ITS HIM!!!" So Connor and I were having a conversation before his shoot and he informed me that he was just a last minute filler! His buddy begged him to take his spot in the stranger shoot. If anybody knows Connor, we all know he is not the type to do something so out of his comfort zone!! So that right there was just another sign that we were supposed to be there at the same time.

I ended up leaving the shoot and decided that I was going to stick around Ann Arbor to see if just maybeeeee Connor wanted to hang out afterwards. I ended up calling him right before his shoot and asked him what his plans were after and he said "hanging out with you" and I was beyond excited. I waited for his shoot to get over with and we met up just down the road! We had no idea what to do because we were in an unfamiliar place. Connor had a bright idea to just go to Detroit for the night because his brother was currently living there, so thats what we did! It was one of the best nights of my life and it really made me open my eyes to Gods plan for us! From that day to now, we have been together!! Inseparable!! Crazy thing is, Our first date was October 17th, 2019 and that photo shoot happened to be on October 17th, 2020. An exact year from the day we first met!! And now we have a beautiful daughter, the healthiest relationship, and soon to be the most amazing wedding day. I cant wait to spend the rest of our lives together.
