We connected on Match.com on June 10, 2021, and quickly hit it off—first messaging, then moving to phone calls. From the start, we knew something special was happening, as our conversations would last for hours.
Our first date was at BRIX Wine Bar on Friday, July 16, 2021. Between truffle fries, pizza, and wine, we shared great conversation and plenty of laughter. We had such a great time that I (James) couldn’t wait to see Sabrina again—I asked her out for a lunch date that very Sunday, and we met at Ambriza.

We introduced the kids to each other and us at a trip to Zoo Lights at the Houston Zoo.

Our first trip to Fredericksburg. We enjoyed tomato toast before hicking Enchanted Rock and visiting the wineries.

We found our favorite happy place at Slate Theory winery and later enjoyed dinner at Otto's where I would eventually ask Sabrina to marry me.
