Sabrina and Tyler first met in August of 2011. It was her first weekend as a freshman at the Colorado School of Mines in Golden, CO, where he was starting his sophomore year. She was majoring in Chemical Engineering and he was studying Computer Science.&nbsp;The school puts on a casino night for incoming freshmen, and recruits students&nbsp;from the fraternities to deal cards. Tyler was Sabrina's blackjack dealer, and spent the night planting cards so that she would win. She would try to stay on a hand, and Tyler, who had peeked at the top card, would say, "are you absolutely SURE you don't want to hit? You've been pretty lucky so far." They bumped into each other again in the physics lab a few days later and had their first date shortly after that.

Flash forward a year, and they're at the shelter "just looking", trying to waste time on a Saturday afternoon. Anyone who knows Sabrina knows how dangerous of an activity that is. A shelter volunteer introduced them to a tiny, terrified black cat that had just weaned a litter of kittens. She was described as the shyest cat of the ~200 cats in the shelter. Obviously they had to take her home. And anyone who has met Athena knows that she quickly came out of her shell and is now extremely outgoing and affectionate. The pack has since grown to include two more rescue animals:&nbsp;Zelda, a&nbsp;black cat who thinks she's the princess of everything, and Hazel, a spunky&nbsp;chocolate lab who is too smart for her own good.

A long, long time ago, in a town far, far away......

On their six-year anniversary, Tyler took Sabrina to beautiful Estes Park, Colorado for a geocaching adventure. Little did she know, he was using geocaching as an excuse to scope out the perfect mountaintop to pop the question. As you may have guessed, she said yes.

And now they're getting hitched!

The venue features on-site family cabins and lodge rooms that are available for guests to rent. These rentals operate differently than a hotel. Rather than guests booking rooms directly, we have been asked to provide a list of guests that will be staying in the cabins, and then the property manager will contact guests&nbsp;for billing info. You can view the rooms on the Lower Lake Ranch website. Room rates vary by cabin, but it averages about $200 per night for a double-occupancy room.&nbsp;If you are interested in renting a cabin room, please contact us at sabrina.and.tyler.get.married@gmail.com or call Sabrina at (303) 918-3943 for more information. The cabin rooms are a great option for guests who want to get the full Colorado experience, and maybe go for a hike or see a squirrel. Please be advised there is no television or wifi available. Not recommended for guests that are predisposed to altitude sickness.
