There are two conflicting versions of how this love story began. According to Michael, Sabrina took one look at him, and seeing how obviously impressive he was, fell head over heels for him. Sabrina's version (listed below) is generally accepted as the more accurate version.

Michael and Sabrina met in the summer of 2018 while playing sand volleyball with friends and attending Saturday morning Bible study at the local coffee shop. Sabrina had just started physical therapy school at WKU while Michael had just graduated from the program. After knowing each other for 8 months, they began dating in April of 2019 and have been adventuring together since.

Fast forward a few years, and they have traveled the United States while pursuing travel physical therapy. They have adventured through the desert southwest, to the black sand beaches of the pacific northwest, and all the way to the rocky New England coast(where they became engaged).
