Ironically, Marc and Sabrina grew up within running distance from each other in the towns of Southboro and Ashland, Massachusetts. This is an activity they enjoy doing today. It was not until moving out of state for college that their paths crossed though. Marc and Sabrina met while working at the Aetna Hose Hook and Ladder Co. during their time at the University of Delaware. After a few snapchats, training sessions, and a summer apart, it only took a Sabrina sitting in a fully involved room to say yes to a date.

Marc and Sabrina moved in together Summer 2020. They did not hesitate to visit the local animal shelter. Even though Marc said they were only going to “look”, they came home a few hours later with their third member of the family, Skye. This four-legged scary house hippo has been the perfect contribution to their lives: accompanying them on hikes, playing fetch in the back yard, and providing unlimited cuddles/kisses in return for belly rubs.

Marc and Sabrina each took on opportunities to grow after college. Marc elected to enlist in the US Army Reserves while Sabrina committed to late nights of medical school studying. Both these achievements brought them to rural North Carolina and challenged them to step away from the city lifestyle. Also, it gave them new neighbors, cows.

On December 16th, 2023, on a ski trip to New Hampshire, Marc surprised Sabrina when he convinced a group of strangers to take their picture as he popped the magic question. Sabrina got to return to school that January with a new ring to show off.
