In 2017, 15 year old Sadie had planned to ride with some friends to the annual Pi Beta Sigma Halloween Dance. Lars just so happened to be planning to ride along with the same group of friends. ---- The friends ended up ditching us both! So Lars (16) messaged me (Sadie) and asked if I'd like to ride with him.... I had maybe talked to him once before. I just knew of him from friends, and I definitely did not want my dad to drop me off at the party. So I walked my dressed up self into the living room to ask my dad if I could go with him. He said ... "go get the yearbook let me see this boy". Turns out him and Lars' mom Leisl graduated together. So of course he let me. We started dating in November a few weeks after the party and have been together ever since.
