How They Met

David and Sadie met in May of 2019 after talking for several weeks via Bumble (dating app). According to Sadie, when they first met it was only supposed to be a friend thing since she had some other things to work through. David, on the other hand, says that was their actual first date. They went to Papas and Beer for lunch followed by Top Golf and had a good time!

There was a lull in their friendship over the summers months, but in October of 2019, Sadie and David reconnected via Snapchat. After several weeks of getting to know each other and hanging out, Sadie and David went on their first REAL date in November of 2019. And well, the rest is history!!!


How He Proposed

To set the scene…

***Sadie was looking her finest with her dirty hair twisted into a bun and had just finished cooking dinner. David, looking effortlessly handsome as always, had just gotten back from the store. Forensic Files is playing in the background. The aroma of HelloFresh mixed with cat litter fills the air***

Three days after Sadie’s birthday, David told her that he had her birthday gift sitting on the table in a Target bag. He’d just gone to Target to purchase a video game controller for his Xbox. Inside the Target bag on the table was the controller’s box. Sadie automatically assumed that David put whatever gift he’d gotten her in the controller box so he didn’t have to actually wrap it. She opened the box, and found…nothing! Confused, Sadie turned around to ask David what in the world was going on and found him down on one knee with the most beautiful ring! David asked Sadie to marry him then, and after some ugly tears, mild disbelief and confirmation that this was indeed reality, Sadie said, “yes!!!”
